It's my OH's birthday today, the first one we spend separately in 9 years:(. I just hope he is ok, I certainly feel very emotional today.
I'm going to check my bank balance very soon and try to figure out whether I can make an overpayment or not. My parents are coming on Thurs so I will not have much money to pay towards the loan. They are staying till Wednesday, I can't wait.
I need to post a package for OH as it's already summer time in Poland, yest it was 30 degrees and he is too hot in his clothes. Not much needing to be done so will take it easy.0 -

I made £650 overpayment towards Lloyds. It was a bit overambitious but I had to do it, otherwise the balance will never go down. I will try to do an ebay weekend and sell some stuff, also have babysitting booked for Saturday. It's good as my parents have been here and it was a bit more expensive than I anticipated, they ate so much! Never mind, it only happens once in 9 years:).
OH went to see a specialist today but haven't heard anything back yet. I am so anxious, just want to know how it went.
Bump is good, behaving well. Scan is next Tuesday, I can't wait!0 -
Hope your OH is well and gets some good news. Exciting about the scan next week!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

Parents have left, OMG I now understand why I chose to live 2000km away from them. It was lovely to see them but they did drive me nuts:). Order is back and I have the flat for myself finally. I should have been ebaying madly today but apart from putting everything together I did nothing. I have tons to put on and need to raise quite a lot of money.
OH is having an operation on the 31st May. It will cost us appr. £2000 plus other charges so we are looking at £3k I think. We have £2k in various saving accounts but the last £1000 is going to be a miracle to put it together hence the ebaying.
We have no other choice but to go for it.
Pregnancy is so far so good, still haven't been sick but belly popped and boobs expended even more this week. A bit too early I say, I'm only 12 weeks. Scan is on Tues, I can't wait. Started to be scared, just hoping that all is ok with Baby.
Right, better go, I am babysitting tonight.0 -
I had an amazing scan, all is good with baby. It was wriggling and kicking, waving at one point, I nearly cried. I had a tummy scan and also an internal as they couldn't see the kidneys but the internal showed everything was fine. The scan was 45 min long mainly because they asked me to take part in a research and they did check lots of other things and all came back fine. The combined risk is low (1 in 8600) so I'm happy with that.
Sent the pictures to OH, he got very emotional. I'm so relieved that everything is fine, now need to somehow tell my parents and bosses!0 -
Aww that's lovely, glad all is well
How's your OH doing now?"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
OH is not doing well unfortunately ,still in limbo whether to have the operation or not. He needs to make a decision today but it won't be an easy one. I am going to see his doctor after work about sick note and further actions , just hope all will be fine.
I announced yesterday to my parents who told me off for not telling them last week but understood my reasons. They were really happy.0 -
I can't imagine how hard it must be for you and OH to be apart at the moment, hope he manages to make the right choice for him.
Glad your parents were happy though."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
OH is coming back next week:j.
He decided against the operation so no need for him to stay there, will come back and try to recover even more before going under the knives. He will be off till mid-August definitely so plenty of time and will decide closer to that date whether the operation is necessary or not.
This means that finances once again are back on track and I might be able to make an overpayment of £2k in the next couple of weeks. Would be a huge relief but I'm not counting on that money at this stage.
I am just cancelling our holiday to Portugal, got all confirmations now just waiting for Travelrepublic to send me the invoice and need to pick up medical certificate from gp on Monday. Virgin has been great and efficient so hopefully it will be dealt with quickly. I feel a bit sad but OH is in no state going on holiday and would just make us really depressed being there and not to be able to do whatever we want to (he can't drive and swim at the moment, also hot air is a no-no). Will go on a better holiday when he is better and baby is here.
I also received a letter from Inland revenue, I need to fill in a tax return because of our flats in Hungary. HOpefully all is very straightforward.
I'm also applying for British citizenship so will book my test for next week and get on with it:). It's all for Bubba, not for me:).
Ebay items are selling, have plenty of more I need to put on today and tomorrow.0
