OR call yesterday - car being taken

  • I think what makeyourdaddyproud *might* have been hinting at wasn't so much stuff that you were hiding but other reasons for wanting to keep your own car rather than downgrade to a lower spec one - eg the having to explain to others why you have changed cars down the way rather than getting a newer / better one perhaps?

I agree that BR is a legal process rather than an emotional thing, but it's the stigma associated with that process that makes people judge others on it. whilst we all know the ins and outs of it, it's not so easy to start explaining to those who will undoubtedly judge the OP and others for certain aspects of it. Just my thoughts on it, and giving you a hug OP, no one said it would be easy! xx

  • It was more what makeyourdaddyproud said about inferring I had other "stuff" I was hiding or trying to hide. Totally not necessary and not true!

I was merely stating the OR might have that opinion when deciding on the fate of your car. Please try to see it from their side when trying to appease creditors, maybe there was something they were suspicious of in that the information you provided didn't quite sound right when you itemised any assets held. It's most certainly not my opinion, and I (as would other contributors), would not like you to boycott the site on a misinterpretation. Your issues are certainly welcome on this forum, and I apologise to you if I came across rather trite. Kind regards.

Dealing with assets is totally seperate from the conduct of any person going bankrupt.

There is no connection between assets and whether the examiner recommends someone for further investigation (which may lead to a BRO/BRU).

Yep even if they had the most horrendous conduct, if their was a valid reason for keeping a vehicle they would be allowed to
