  • GO dt3Mummy!!!!! what a start.

SO my january was disappointing, but have paid for lots of feb things. Already knew would have a massive budget cut for feb and march, so will not be fabulous but I will get there by the end! Have my heart set on a holiday to Italy.
My favourite thing has been to empty all the toiletries onto a shelf. All the xmas presents, freebies, sachets, hotel ones, odd BOGOF found lurking in back of cupboard, even persuading DD that although all her toiletries look realllly pretty on her dressing table, they've already been there a year, and need to be used NOW. SO every night I choose whether to have a full one head to toe Sanctuary experience, travel down the NIle as soon as I smell the hotel shampoo we brought back from egypt years ago, or just have a down day with out of date body butter from the pound shop( DD's) . Or maybe a face mask, or an intensive hair treatment that someone bought me a long time ago. Feels luxurious and yet I dont think we will be buying toiletries till at least summer. It has made it fun and easy not to spend which has helped enormously.

Right I lost heart a bit last month, when I spent up, but back on my horse! THis month is so tight, that only surveys ebay and amazon can be counted as getting through without going overdrawn will be a challenge as it is.
    Everyone is doing fab!

I was totally shocked as was hubby and I made him check it was correct as his employer has a few times overpaid him and then recovered it back at 3 days gross until it's cleared. But nope it's all ours!!!!

I'm not holding back though even with this little windfall.

I had a little bit left on my Next account which should be gone by the end of the month and now that everything to do with Christmas has been paid off in full I can look at my old CC debt.

We are in the process of applying for a mortgage which has been agreed in principal so hoping to get rid of the straggly bits whilst we wait for hubby's parents house to sell.

I'm trying to find some freelance work I can do from home in the mean time but everything I bid on, on a particular site doesn't usually come to anything.

Really pleased with first month of the year.

Saved £76 in multi-buys and have stocked up on lots.
February should be a very cheap month.

I already feel this challenge is helping keep me focused, quite a slow start in January for money coming in however, I have found some auditing work that can be done pretty much at my leisure and started dipping into Mystery Shopping again so soundstart to see the pay off February/March onwards...

January saw me earn £92.45 must do better next month but that was with very little effort...

    £60 - Ebay profit, £13 - cashbacking, £12 - Luncheon vouchers, £7.50 free 4 issue magazine subscription.

If anybody is making much free cash on cashbacking sites would love to know the secret, used to make a fortune but bubble seems to have burst .

    Good luck all!

  • I made $70.37 in January with online surveys, paid-to-click, and online gaming.

    In detail:
Online surveys - $42.08 (best site was MySurvey with $15.35)
PTC - $8.98 (best site was Varolo with $3.85)
Online gaming - $19.31 by exploiting the first deposit bonus at Worldwinner

It was a nice month with online surveys and the money from worldwinner was a pleasant surprise. Goal for the next two month is to increase the PTC earnings but I already have a few ideas. In total, I have to triple the monthly earnings to meet the challenge goal though. Let's make it work.

And good luck to everyone. Cheers,
