  • I'm gonna give this try. I may be a month behind everyone, but I'm a student with only a part-time job so I have a little more time on my hands.

  • Just received £26 from Amazon from selling old uni books, which has bumped me up to £182.11 now :)
Once I've run out of books though I'm going to have to think of something new to do to make money!
  • Hi everyone,

I just want to say a big thank you to you all. I've been receiving Martin's emails for a while now, and have only recently found the forum. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, and have found all your optimism and encouragement for each other amazing.
I would love to join your challenge if I may, even though it's quite late! I won't be able to update very often, but knowing you are all here is a great motivation for me. We have some utlity debts, from my fiance before we met (he had a very bad accident and couldn't work for a while) but these are all on a payment plan, and some family debts to pay. So anything I make will probably go to these. Also, hopefully there will be a lovely (very frugal!!) wedding next year too!
I would just love to say thank you again, just reading all your posts has helped me more than you can imagine and has inspired me to do better.

Thank you all so much, and bring on February's earnings!!

I have just listed a few more things on ebay tonight. Have a few things finishing in the next few days too. I am trying to list a couple of things every few days as I am new to selling and don't want to get overwhelmed with it. I am hoping this will help boost my total through feb as I,m not sure how its gonna go this month. Not got any overtime lined up at the moment and no energy refunds expected either. I am hoping to save quite a bit by not having to food shop next week ( apart from a bit of bread and milk). I have been stocking up on offers for several weeks so I am hoping it will give me a week off.
    Good luck for february everyone:)

I already feel this challenge is helping keep me focused, quite a slow start in January for money coming in

Same here! :) and :( at the same time.

I signed up to G4la through TopCB last night. Had to load account with and use £10 but came out with 34.20 so £24.20 up and if cashback tracks that'll be another £20. Withdrew what I won back into bank account so I'll add that to the total. So £24.20 to add to the total:

    #178 £32.98 / £2012

Waiting for another couple of cashbacks to be paid, really need to music magpie / zapper etc these books and CDs etc and got some major fleabaying to do so once I get cracking my total might move a bit :)
  • Just had another book sell on Amazon so another £4.34 for the pot plus items from Ebay which had not been paid for have now been paid taking off the refund I had to give because an item apparently never turned up  of £8. This amounted to about another £40.

Please motivate me, I just cannot be bothered to do Ebay this month, the house is fit to bursting with things. Plus I have booked the plasterer for the beginning of April to come and skim the living room, which means I need to sell my curtains, cushions rug and ornaments which should go well as they are still most of them current in Next so should make a fair few pounds if I dont sell I know what will happen they will just end up in the loft with all the other bits and pieces never to be seen again and I know they would all be best off gone before arghhhhhhh

If I dont do Ebay will make my total for February not very healthy must do ebay must do ebay :o
