I have has a really good month and made some great savings. Mainly using store points collected through the year to buy xmas pressies, getting loads of 1/2 price toy offers, buying bogoff deals, buying stuff in the sale. Also got £5 off every £40 spent on shopping at mr t, had 2 vouchers to use so split my shopping. Used another supermarket online and saved with discount codes and free delivery.
Some savings were just down to being a bit cheeky and asking for a discount:o.
So my savings for november total is; £541.66:j
Will pm Cally with total ready for update.

So i'm at £2772.69 today including two small payments that just dropped into the start of November, that £3k stretch goal is in touch :D:D

And £385.13 for November to take me through the £3k to £3132.10

Ongoing clearout on ebay and Amazon should bring in a bit more over the next couple of weeks, wondering about trying for a £10-a-day average for the year but think that's just a bit out of reach, if only i'd tried harder in August and beat the £6.60 I managed that month... :rotfl:

The end is in sight...but I think I'm gong to have to do this challenge again next year....

    November totals:
Tickets (bought by mistake, we could't go, so resold at a big profit!) £80
    Rent from lodgers £500
    Surveys: £25
    Cashback: £7
    Freebies (from this website's giveaways!) : £6
    Money off £30
    Mobile discount : £7
    Total : £655

Taking my overall total to £4603

Hurrah! Have now been stashing some away and it will be used towards a new kitchen
  • Well done to everyone on their totals. Wish I'd seen this! Will there be a £2013 in 2013?!
Some great ideas to use anyway in saving a good amount of money, need to get my behind in gear for next year! :)
Married in 2016. Bought our first home in 2017. Expecting our first baby in November 2017
    :):):)
Frugal & thrifty as much as possible.
    ;)
  • Hi everyone.

I've been lurking on the forums for a little while then stumbled across this thread. Am gutted that I've only just found it with 27 days left. Think that a bit ambitious to save £2012 though, but have learnt so many great ideas from you all, so thank you so much for them all!

I am already looking forward to the possible £2013 for 2013 so thought I would say hello before it starts!

Does anyone have any plans to begin this thread or a link that I could have if it has already started.

    Thanks
    Matt
