My question to you all is can anyone think of a cheap screen type thingy I can put up in my garden.
I'll explain...... Have quite a long garden about (60 meteres) and to my right I have a very nosey nasty oap living next door. She had me in floods of tears on my birthday last year after I had told her it was my birthday:eek: she went on to make some very rude, personnal remarks:mad:
Anyway this year I wanted a party in my garden but I dont want her to be glaring in at us. It's her fence so I cant touch that but it's only about 4ft tall. Ive asked if I could add a top layer of woven wood. Which she made a big fuss about and said no. So what can I put up thats quick and cheap, I havent got much money and I dont really care what it looks like:) if it's in my garden. Help please??

Gazebo type thing and then hang fabric from 3 sides so she can't see in ?

Yes I can recommended sainsburys cheap own brand bubble bath, it's blue but dont let that put you off as it works fine for dry eczema. But if your eczema is wheeping:eek:(Boy, do I know that hurt's) dont use anything in your bath and dip in and out as quick as you can. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious:)
I also use this as liquid soap when I'm out of baby shampoo:rotfl:

6ft fence your side of the boundary? you're not touching her fence then ;)
  • Try the website called freecycle.org you will be amazed at what is on offer and it is all free because they are not allowed to charge for any items advertised. You should definately find something on there for the garden to keep prying eyes out. Not sure if del charges made so hopefully you drive. Give it a try.

Willow!! Ask around and you will find. Also added bonus that it annoys lots of people lol! Fast growing, can be shaped, coppiced, woven like wool.

In the meantime the gazebo suggestion with pretty decorations would be so frustrating for a nosy person, as they can hear, but can't see what's going on ha ha. It would drive me crazy .

I will try the sainsburys bubble bath.Thank you. :A I have easy excema, just comes with the spring hay fever, gets bad, gets better. I feel for anyone who suffers worse. It's not fun!

    Hi again.
This month has been so tough. As I said before I am saving by being better organised with weekly shop. This has worked out great for me this month ( my bursery is paid sort of mid month so I work my budget out between those dates). A conservative estimate of my monthly groceries spend is £433, probably more TBH. So this month I spent less that £200 but I have rounded it up to that to account for extra milk and stuff.
    However, I have had loads other costs;
    2 birthdays
a birthday party to pay for
a birthday party to buy a gift for.
swim lessons paid for quarterly, due this month,
    2 school trips
new clothes and shoes for kids ready for hols
a dress to wear to a wedding ( got a bargain on ebay, silk monsoon dress for £21:j).
So I am adding a savings of £233 to my total. Dont think I will do much more now. Hoping for a better month in may.

£20 Debenhams Vouchers for signing up to a card (will use it for the first transaction so I can use the voucher then pay it straight off online), £1.05 Mr T price check and £30 gift from Grandparents. :) I'm doing a boot sale next weekend but won't be keeping the pennies as I'm doing it to help a friend raise £204 to stop her having to go to court over an unpaid debt. Really hope we manage the amount we need. Fingers crossed.

Also I have decided to add the money from my databasing for the last two months as I did it to put towards this challenge and then forgot to add it . I will dig out my payslips tonight and update my total. I've also got another side project on the go as of today so all the money from that (evenings and weekends) will be added too.
