  • Wow what a month everyone is having :Thuge well done Mumof2 on the vouchers find, it just goes to show what hidden treasures we have lying around the house!!

Put some more items on Ebay yesterday (well relists) and am about to do another 20 today as it is quiet at work and I remembered to take photographs last night, not high value items, will do these higher value ones tomorrow for free listing weekend. Still able to list another 64 items before the month so will put them on 5 and 3 day auctions so that I can start afresh with another 100 items for next month.

My total is now up to £2,277.49. Going to get a lot harder for me from now on and even harder to keep hold of this money as the show season starts next month with the horses and in an average show day can spend up to £350 on fuel, entries etc (bearing in mind that we do at least 4 to 5 of these shows a month) am going to try and write down this year exactly how much the show season costs me. I do not begrudge any of the expense as the feeling of pride when I watch my daughter riding round the ring at The Horse of the Year Show at Birmingham NEC is priceless. :o

Earnt a very well-deserved £40 at babysitting last night, so will add that to my total. Don't think I'm going to make the monthly average this month, but hopefully things will pick up in future months. To be honest, I'm quite releived I've not been getting more this month, as my morning sickness and tiredness are quite bad at the moment.

Fingers crossed for everyone who is saving, and well done to everyone for their hard work - particularly those who've alread met their targets!

  • February I love you, Let me count the ways,
The council want no tax, And you only have 29 days.
    The water runs for free,
    My money stays with me,
And it all goes in my crazy money saving ways!

It is PAYDAY, and I am declaring February at £160 still in the bank.
We did this by eating re-re-re cyled leftovers, and not spending a penny unneccessarily. it was painful. We feast like kings tonight! takeaways and alcohol, and chocolate and crisps and nuts and multicoloured veg and stuff just because we feel like it ....

I will PM mennie with my total. We are all doing fabulous :T
  • Hi all, payday here too so doing an update for Feb. Most is from savings made rather than extras but I'm planning on remedying that for March.

    - £29.20 - Bought cleanser/toner/moisturiser with Boots points instead of cash, banked that amount
    - £17.20 - Amazon vouchers earned from games traded in
    - £80.00 - regular monthly savings from wages (which will make up half the total hopefully)
    - £48.78 - what was left in my current account before my pay went in (this never happens!)
    - £ 1.43 - interest on savings
    - £ .85 - misc. found money/discounts

Feb total: £177.95, 2012 total so far £335.30 - just 3p short of being exactly on track :)

Really must give myself a kick up the bum to get some photos taken for the free listing this weekend...

My cheque from zapper has arrived so get to add £16.46 to total.
Also, I had to order something for one of the kids, thankfully, a 20% off voucher arrived today that expires at end of month, so have ordered it tonight and saved £10.20. I will count that too as I would have had to buy it anyway. Its unlikely that I will save much more this month. Maybe just my multibuys to add when I shop.
Haven't done as well as last month, but I am still ahead of target so cant complain really.
Really want to get stuff listed on e*ay this weekend.
Well done everyone, keep at it.
