    The Boots thing
Using my advantage Card I checked what offers I could get - one was 25% off bubble bath the other 25% off shampoo/conditioner I printed them off.
I then went and found the stuff I wanted to buy - note you have to put them through as single items as you can only use one voucher per item so to speak.
I selected a bubble bath that was on offer at £1 (50% off) and thought the voucher would give me 25p off - still v good value - however the voucher gave me 25% off the original price hence I got the bubble bath for 75% off. The same happened for the shampoo and conditioner.
    One very happy Ocemeer

I really must get myself back on VO - do you think they'll let me re-register? I used to be a member, but gave up all surveying when the babies arrived and my brain was too sleep deprived and frazzled to do anything like fill out questionnaires. :p

    Yeah, they should do.

I've got 27 survey emails from various companies waiting to be done, I've been working and sleeping too much though ... I'll do them tomoro.

Ah, now that makes sense! I rarely use those machines, they don't seem to like my card and I stand there for ages looking like a loony putting my card in and out until it's accepted.

Right, off to see if VO will take me back.

thanks for the boots explanation- will try it next time.

    My head has exploded -
From rooting thru the forums I realise that having a £20 gas and £20 leccy monthly bill makes me very lucky, and the gas actually went down last year. SO savings will be shavings and the leccy is definitely going up.
Leccy- existing company offering £40 to stay and they came out cheapest on the comparison tables(£80 increase) and will send me £25 free voucher for swapping tarriffs ( when they are kicking me off the cheap one anyway! EH?) So Im hoping for a £2 a month overall increase.

Gas -£15 cashback for comparison site, to company that will knock £50 off gas bill and £25 voucher- that must mean ive halved my £20 a month gas bill- the worlds gone crazy!
I wonder if all this will work out ............. am going to get one of those gadgets to see where we use all this electricity

Gas and electric - we're with Ebico (from SSE), no standing charge, only pay for what we actually use. Current Gas DD is £15pm cos we were so far ahead. I do need to submit gas reading to check we still in credit.

Tips - turn every single electrical item off at the plug when not in use, heating only on when needed if both of us in house, not on when someone in bed, spare quilt handy for wrapping up in.

Edit - only 2 people and 2 cats here though

We've got one of those but DH has, I feel, got a bit obsessed - he has been known to keep an eye on how much the electricity goes up when I have a shower. He may be able to take a shower in 3 minutes or under, but I like to take my time, shampoo my hair twice and condition  . We're on Economy 7 so always cheaper before 8am so we try to get sorted before then - hence the reason why I set the WM and DW to run and be finished by then. Sometimes it's better not knowing how much is being used ..... but it could be like burying your head in the sand ;)!

February slightly better than January so far, £118.96 - not brilliant but every penny counts right! :D

Not bad ebay month but totally out of things to sell at moment, Netpix payout from TCB added with a few other small casback amounts, M&S vouchers from Dad (from his storecard points) and doing brilliantly on Superpoints - about $5 every 5 days for next to no effort, got a 25 point bonus referral again if anyone needs it...

Have to switch electricity next month as deal ending - currently paying £30 per month but new tariff will be much higher with same provider so looks like I'm switching and collecting cashback too.

Dad visiting early March which means bag loads of clothes and other goodies from f&f to sell on ebay so high hopes for earnings in March.

Still waiting for a mystery shopping pay out and another superpoints payment to clear...

Well done to everyone else, thanks also for the heads up on the Boots Saving... Like it and will certainly give it a try!
