    I've just PMd to join!

I need to start saving money somehow as I really want a holiday, to get my bike licence, fix up my bike and also am renovating my house!!!!

I'll mainly be earning money on surveys (have got out of the habit of doing them), comping, typing from home and hopefully some testing companies if I can get on the panels!

    Good luck everyone.

    Another £3 claimed from
Wombled two APGs today - £3.84 & 54p, but won't add them until used.

    /QUOTE]

I don't understand this either! :rotfl:

Aliwali - That's a great outcome from the survery, would you mind sharing who you're doing that with?

Ocemeer - can you explain the Boots thing again please? Are you getting a double discount somehow?

As for me, after a good start to the month, it's all gone downhill. Despite, not doing much, I still spent more than I wanted to over half term. Inevitable really, kids are expensive blighters.

Not a sniff with any of my ebay stuff so am going to have to try selling elsewhere. Not even any clubcard points this time around either! I'm not sure how that happened as my old office was above a Tesc*s and I went in there almost daily - although it could be down to the fact they no longer do the double points. To make things worse with them, my £5 voucher I won with them on Twitter hasn't appeared and from reading other Tweets, I'm not the only one.

We did get £75 off an annual membership to the zoo, but I'm not going to count it as we wouldn't have bought it at full price. Saying that, I might count the savings we get from it from all our visits - it'll only take 3 visits and we'll be in profit from having the membership.

I'm sitting here debating what to give up for lent - wondering if I gave up chocolate/crisps I could then put what I've saved from not buying them into my total! :D

I wanted to say to all who are dribs and drabs, (like me apart from my one big tax rebate), well done,:T:T:T all those dribs and drabs will be a money cake eventually. and if you already did all the big savings previously then it is harder . And having listed loads of cds on amazon, I was expecting at least the odd sale. Oh well!

If you haven't, then check out all your household bills, you will save a fortune by swapping and cashback. off for my annual swap as my leccy company just announced that as I was out of the first year my leccy price was going up 50%! still think it must of been a mistake. And I dont know what B*T are playing at. I'm off to dive into the annual transfer flurry where I won't be able to remember who supplies us for what, but it is always worth it. -our household account used to have £700 going into it, it now has £250.

PS ha ha I can't believe i just wrote people are dribs and drabs- I mean the savings DOH!

It was Valued Opinions. Just a normal survey then at the end asked if I would be interested in doing a trial.

  • Just been paid £200 (well, £193 after PayPal have taken their cut!) for advertising on my blog, which makes almost £250 made from my blog this month, with hopefully a bit of skimlinks money to come soon too. :D

Other than that though I've been really busy for the second half of this month and haven't done any surveys or anything in ages. Need to pull my socks up! I had to bulk-buy some things on eBay for costumes for our uni dance show though, so I should get about £3.50 from Topcashback.

I'm trying to make as much as possible in the next couple of months because after Easter it's my final exams at uni and I'm not going to be doing anything other than revising so there won't be much progress on this challenge I expect. Up to £629.22 now which is 31% of the way there so I'm really quite happy!

Ah, thank you, I now understand what Wombling is! (I think!!) I don't shop at Asda much but I do get the vouchers automatically with Sainsbury's.

I really must get myself back on VO - do you think they'll let me re-register? I used to be a member, but gave up all surveying when the babies arrived and my brain was too sleep deprived and frazzled to do anything like fill out questionnaires. :p

frithalouise - I had to be nosy and have just had a look at your blog - it looks fab! Did it take you a long time to build up all those followers?

Bess1234 - You're absolutely right about sorting out the utilities, I reallly keep meaning to do this. Got an appt on Friday to see if Natwest can beat our home insurance as all their adverts keep claiming. Are you in Napoli now? Please don't tell me you're on MSE while on holiday?!
  • clairelh - Glad you like it :) I've been writing the blog for 4 1/2 years now
