Hello, long time not post. The end of January got a bit busy - and a bit stressful money wise, I thought I had tightened the purse strings, but obviously not tight enough. :(

Anyway - Mennie, huge apologies, I missed the January final total - if I'm not too late to report it, it's £143.06.

I think I'm going to start counting the multibuy savings etc from the supermarket. We are getting some huge total savings things with our receipts. With Sainsburys brand match we're getting a minimum £7+ saving each shop and I've not been counting it.

February has started quite well. I've just cashed in some cashback which is £102.34 - much more than I thought!! I've also just been accepted on to the Tesco Home Panel although I've still got to have stuff to review etc.

I've signed up for a few more sites, so hopefully that will all start to kick in over the year. I've also really got back into doing the competitions, I've won £5 gift card from Tesco (from Twitter) so far, but not going to add it to my total yet as it's not arrived.

The best bit of all, is that it's re-mortgage time and it looks like we're going to save a fair amount with the lower interest rates. Again, I won't count it yet as it still needs to be finalised and it won't change over until the end of March, but it's going to make a huge difference. :)
  • I've just sold my first book on Amazon!! It's been listed for a while but now it's £9.44 profit towards the £2021!

So far this month I've also earned £8.42 from eBay and £40 from Onepoll, so I'm at £57.86 for Feb and £285.02 YTD.

I've just come across an old ink cartridge that's out of date and dried up. I know I can earn a few pennies by sending it off, but is there a comparison list to see who pays the most? I've had a search but cannot find anything.

    Thanks

    TT
  • Hi all,
    Claimed £10.50 from Panelbase today.
Also cashed in 1000 points at Opinion world, so another £10.
    & £3.91 for a top sold on ebay :)

Bit disappointed here as had to take £70 off my savings. I had a feeling Ocado may be a tiny but dearer than Tesco but figured the lack of £3 delivery would cover that. Boy was I wrong - I did an order on Ocado, copied it and put it on Tesco and Ocado was £12 more !! Needless to say I've gone back to Tesco. So the £70 I would have saved by having free deliveries isn't really worth anything is it.

Do you know if Topcashback do cashback each time you do grocery shopping at Tescos? I've just signed up with them because from the reviews it seems they're better than Quidco.

Oh, got my tax rebate. It's a huuuuuuge amount - wait for it - £12.30. Yep, big innit!!!! Oh well, added it to my total *sigh*.

  • Hi guys,

Is it too late to join? I literally NEED to take this challenge head on!

I plan on listing literally ANYTHING I can on eBay this weekend - although I'm picking 5 things up tomorrow that I've purchased recently... can I count the money I'd save from all the things I want to buy but talk myself out of? If so, my total is £1,000 for January :-p

Having a bad start to the month -seems Mr Postie doesnt want to deliver anything - OH got a mysteryshop though and a couple of survey sites have paid up but at a measley £50 right now. Hoping EbAY picks up and going to have to look at Amazon for book selling as you all seem to be doing really well.
