I have updated the spreadsheet with all the totals and we have made £12.5K between us!!
WOW! :T Well done us and thanks Mennie for organising!
I just popped on to tell you about the Amazon trade offer Nomi01 has just posted about - I've had an email about it today but it's showing on the website without me logging in so I presume it's open to anyone. I'm going to pop a couple of old DS games on there I think. Offer ends at 23.59 tonight.
Just found 10p at the bottom of the washing basket so that's February kicked off for me - all these small amounts I'm going to record through the month and transfer over with other monies on payday - seems the easiest way to track it. Really must get my act together and photograph some ebay bits though
Edited to add - I've traded in two Nintendo DS games - one I have no recollection of even buying and the other belonging to my ex which I hated (the game not him, not at the time anyway!) for a total of £12.20 and if all goes through OK that'll be a total of £17.20 in Amazon vouchersWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
O.K I have got it together again and feel ready to get february's saving underway.
I have just traded in 2 paperbacks I was given so A*azon so I get £5 gift card. Also just did a new list with zapper and got quoted £16+ for 6 books that are too old to be used in my studies.
Added another item to E*bay tonight, nothing pricey but its a dress I will never wear.
I have just checked paypal account and have decided to ignore the money in there as they are the only actual cash savings I have.
I am determined to do more tomorrow. The poor post office lady won't know whats hit her at this rate.
I am loving getting money for my old stuff. It really helps with my decluttering mission too.
I was wondering how people get into doing competitions seriously, is it like extreme couponing, where you have to dedicate 60+ hours a week to it??
I send off for freebies on a well known site but thats about it right now. I hate to think i,m missing out.🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11 £11,300/£11300

Hello,
I'd like to be a late starter in this (I have £100 in a savings account at the moment mind) and I am determined to save this year. I'm not sure if this late joining is acceptable but if not I can just keep track with the forum and attempt to save as much as possible whilst doing so£2020 in 2020 = £3670.82 / £20200 -
Good news: Watched one hell of a rugby match today and completed most of my 3 assignments
Bad news: I have failed to put anything on ebay so not having the best start to this challenge this month so far!£2012 in 2012 challenge: £915.28/£2012

Can't remember if I have mentioned this before, but I have found a great website for savong money on those essential calls to banks and insurance companies. The website called saynoto0870 dot com, and is basically a database of a load of 0870/0845/0844 numbers, the companies they relate to and the related landline equivalent (e.g 0114/0151, etc).
This means that instead of the expensive 0870 number, you dial the "normal" number instead, which is a lot cheaper, especially from mobiles. For me, calling thm from a mobile is now free as I have inclusive landline minutes in my contract!
It also holds some 09 numbers (found one for ABTA) and some 0800 numbers too, which especially good as 0800 numbers are expensive calls from mobiles!
Anyway, hope this helps you all cut you phone bills! Might be little hard to measure the saving on here but it all helps!Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0 -

Would it be too late for me to join in?
I've been reading through the thread and it's giving me the motivation I need to get going with making myself a bit of wonga.
I've sent a really old phone off on Envirofone for a grand total of £7.05, also got four items on eBay which are up to £7.20 with 6 days left to go. I need to get motivated, this is money I want to use for celebrate my 30th Birthday.0
