My faith in the fuzz has gone completely. They only care about themselves and their chums. After being advised to get shot of our car I'm really lost for words.

Do you have a local PSCO? As I said they have been great here, and picking them up actually checking on our car I thought was amazing. Restored a lot of faith I have to say.

I've had them nip in when passing to see if all is ok and one telephoned yesterday just to find out if everything was still quiet. They did say they would call and let me know the outcome of the Court appearance too.

Yeah we got PCSOs (Plastic Cop Substitue Objects) and they don't really do anything. Once a week they drive the CCTV van past us and thats it. Not much of a deterrent is it and thats been fizzling away more over the last few weeks.

I'm just looking at weatherproof IP cams at the minute..

How far from you does the prime suspect live ?
If it is more than half a mile, have a word with the police and drop his name, ask them to get his mobile phone records and if he was daft enough to take his phone along with him, the police might want to ask him what he was doing near your house in the dead of night.
Mobile phones are excellent tracking and tracing devices.

Just around the corner he lives, since my friend left him last year it's been hassle after hassle.

The police have not even bothered to phone me or come around so I cant even do that!!!

Thats what annoys me, again Im the victim here yet no support whatsoever from the police!! 2 x police actually walked past my house 2 hours after incident yet no know no nothing!!

Thanks for advice though, just wish it was an option

    What does that prove?

His mobile phone was in the area of a crime. How do you prove who had it?

Next you need the op to live near to 3 phone masts.

Then there is the authority for what would be considered a minor crime.

    Oh and who's gonna pay?

    Subaru what? Impreza?

Parked on the road or driveway?

When you say slashed - is there just a puncture hole or a big slash? Just wondering.
