Mind once I saw the faces of passengers coming off the Abderdeen/Shetland ferry after the same thing had happened to them and I like ferries but I vowed then I'd never get on that one ! I feel for them LOL0

Least my neighbours washing is getting a good blow, she might not have a garden fence left anymore and her hedges are looking like they are about to fall over but her knickers are getting plenty of air :rotfl:

Media are desperately looking to over egg the cake on this one, so far nothing but ordinary Northern Winter weather and certainly nothing that is not normally expected.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. A lot of people are saying 'it's not that bad', but it honestly depends on where you are.
We have a depot on Greenock docks (docks are now closed altogether) and our guy over there says that 4 tonne shipping container were moving along the ground on their own due to the winds
We are working just next to Grangemouth docks (they are now closed) and our depot is shut, although our new manager has said we can't go home.
Ah wellCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Weather here is grim although I think as my area is so built up that it is not as bad as areas that are more open. We are safely indoors however my OH is at work quite far away and is relying on public transport to get home so I am very worried about him.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Well I think we must be in a sheltered bit after all because the worst that's happened so far is that all the pine cones have blown off the pine tree in the garden and are all over the road. Oh and a small plastic plantpot nearly hit my windscreen as I was picking daughter up.
Me and the kids will be safely tucked up for the rest of the day but OH has to go to work around 3ish.Herman - MP for all!0 -
So far just regular gale force winds in Aberdeenshire where I am (but we only had an amber weather warning). I know the red warning was just the central belt so not all areas affected as badly. Still, not venturing out too far in that!!0

Justjohn, I'm in the borders and this wind is horrific. My Oh was blown off his feet and he's 6ft and 14stone. The noise in the chimney is hellish - we get a lot of gales up here but this is mega !0
