One other thing, they do have my message asking them to initiate a cancellation, would Ebay use that against me in any way...?

No, but if you have the chance (and I haven't seen a mutual for ages so don't know if you do) to opt for still wanting the item at advertised price- ie £6.99 then choose that. You ar enot refusing to pay after all, you are indeed quite happy to pay but at the stated price.

Well there was no option to go for the advertised price, just to decline the cancellation. I also added this message for the seller.... :)

    Hi,
I've declined this cancellation request as I would like to buy this item at the advertised selling/winning price of £5.50 with FREE p&p... I thought I would give you the chance to improve as you asked...
    Regards...

Beware of a cheap bit crap being sent to you that you would then need to return tracked.

Yeah, that's possible but i have loads of old unfranked postage stamps here that'll cover the cost, I'll just be out the hassle of posting it. ;)
It'll be worth it all anyway just to post SCAMMER on their feedback to warn others..
I still have to get the £6.99 p&p charge on the invoice removed before I can do anything anyway but if that doesn't change then I'll just leave the neg & forget about buying it.....

  • Don't post "scammer", they'll be able to get it removed.
I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!
  • I should add, someone on here will no doubt be able to give you a well worded, equally as damning negative that doesn't fall foul of ebay's rules.

But sorry that we could not remove the £6.99 p&p charge since we've sent the request to you.
If you need the item, could you please buy it in other list?

    Have a nice day.
