Free delivery - Now being charged...

Bought an item from a seller in 'Portsmouth' which stated free UK delivery, when i click through to pay for it, it shows £6.99 p&p added to the winning amount. I've asked the seller to invoice me the amount minus the cheeky p&p but all i received was a chinese link to the Hong Kong site all in Chinese which I couldn't understand... How long should I wait for the seller to sort it before contacting Ebay as I don't want a strike as a non-paying bidder.....

Did teh listing say the buyer had registered in china?

Or was it a UK seller drop shipping, Where you buy it from he and he pays his supplier
to deliver it directly to you?

    Auction number or sellers name?

One thing to try is to log into your paypal and pay for ebay goods and add the item details as that will pick up the original details from the webpage. It is worth a try

    @forgotmyname... Item number: 120822928112

@soolin... Tried that but still adding the £6.99 p&p.... :(

I'll keep bombarding the seller for now, for an invoice minus the extortion. I just don't want to wait too long....

    you could report to ebay

listing policy breaches > circumvention of ebay fees > excessive postage

I would contact ebay, sellers aren't allowed to change the terms of the sale.
I see that he's started the next one, using the same template as the one you bought at £12.99.
Any seller who c0cks up & undercharges should really just learn by it, not decide after the sale what they will accept.

Google their UK address, 231, Portsmouth PO14325. There's some quite interesting things come up, at a quick look it seems that there are a heck of a lot of Chinese sellers at that address. Or PO box number.

Cheers guys, I'll give it another day to see if the seller will send an invoice for the right amount & if not I'll contact ebay to report them... This is the reason I usually avoid China/Hong Kong sellers, I seem to have nothing but bother with them (usually items never turning up)...

Cant you just pay using your ebay purchase history list? How can a seller add postage after the auction ends?

Did they email you with a higher price?

You should always check the sellers registration details and feedback. Buyer claimed item never arrived yet they
    offered a partial refund???

Few mentions ofslow shipping. Registered in china so the portsmouth address is rubbish.

They could be reported as a business seller for not showing business details too.
