Cant you just pay using your ebay purchase history list? How can a seller add postage after the auction ends?

Did they email you with a higher price?

You should always check the sellers registration details and feedback. Buyer claimed item never arrived yet they
    offered a partial refund???

Few mentions ofslow shipping. Registered in china so the portsmouth address is rubbish.

When i go to purchases & click on PAY, it comes up with the £6.99 3-4 day standard delivery...
Seller has 99.7% feedback & is a top rated seller, I did notice the slow delivery on some feedback but as i'm in no rush for the item that didn't put me off...
What is the best way to go about informing Ebay of the problem as I seem to end up in dead ends, having to click on problems that don't match mine...

Well, well... Seller has now emailed asking for more money or wanting me to cancel purchase.. Email below...
Told them to either sell the item at winning price or expect Ebay to be informed of a non-performing seller..
You have to admire the cheek...

    Hi,
    Thanks for your kind email.
And sorry to make you unhappy.

We'v checked and found that we made a mistake in the list.
So we have to improve the potage in the list you bid.
    Beg your kind understanding.

We sell the item at GBP 12.97.
    You can check it here:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110775932675&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

If you don't want to buy it at this price, could we cancel the transaction for you?

    Look forward to your reply.
    Regards.
    Serena

Frankly I think I would be a bit naughty here and make a 'mistake' of my own. Tell them to go ahead and cancel- then wait for the mutual cancellation and 'accidentally' decline it and say you do want the item at advertised price.

Then they can't open an nPB on you and you are free to leave feedback.

I second what soolin suggests, then you can still leave FB.
To open a NPS you'd have to pay.

Have the rules on opening NPS reports changed recently? I only ask because we have opened a NPS report on a seller that refused to sell for the winning bid and we hadn't paid.

  • Spookily, OP, I was just looking at an item on ebay with various sellers all in the Portsmouth area and came within a hairs breadth of bidding on one - I'm glad I came on here about something else and found this.

Sorry, I know it's no consolation....but thank you anyway.

I tried to open one a while ago & couldn't because I hadn't paid, so maybe it does let you now.
