And in similar fashion... When there is maybe 2 days left before is closes, I send them a message through ebay with the wording at the start made to look as though it's from eBay - you have 48hours with which to resolve this matter with the seller before you are issued with a strike against your username..etc etc and then "Message from Seller - you can avoid this if you bla bla bla"
Don't get me wrong, I don't say anything will happen if it won't, or lie through my teeth etc, but when it appears as though eBay will take action rather than the seller, it has made a difference for me.
Many buyers are not overly familiar with eBay's procedures and don't, for example, know that it could affect their ability to trade in future.
I wonder if I could get away with "someone from ebay will come to your house and shoot you..."???0 -
Remember that even if you set the option to stay logged in on eBay, you can't bid without entering your password. So ask him why he gave his son his password.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Thankfully I am leaving AOL any mail that mentions EBay/PayPal gets classified as bulk and not sent. But I might try this.
I hit 4 NPB's last night and negged them waiting the inevitable return neg..
I fancy the shooting option myself...sends out a warning to the others...can you see the newspaper headlines.
"12 Year old shot dead for non-payment of £5.20 on EBay"
The problem would go away overnight.........ah to dream!!0 -
AOL is a killer for ebay, for a short time a year or so ago I had a line in my auctions asking aol winners to let me have an alternative address as I could not get mail to them. I use Freeserve/Wannadoo and every now and then they and AOL refuse to talk to each other and even using the ebay system the email will not get through.
Even now I have two friends on AOL that I cannot communicate with at all, even if I send to them using a Hotmail account it detects my ISP and stops my mail and I don't even get a warning bounce message.

I must be one of the lucky ones as i've been on AOL nearly as long as i've been on eBay and i have never experienced any problems at all."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0

You call yourself a moneysaver and you're on AOL? Isn't it one of the most expensive ISPs? (o:Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Gromituk- I have my BB on a very special deal and would never pay full price for it. So yes, i am a moneysaver as i bartered myself a good deal

Also, I have only had minor problems with AOL and no connection problems. For me to change my email address would be hellish. Overall I am happy with my AOL service and do not wish to change."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0 -
Thats the problem bargainbabe....your e-mail ties you in.
I learnt my lesson a few years ago when I went overseas and put the account on hold...ended up losing my address. Will never tie it to an ISP again!!0 -
he has responded again saying his son bid on 27 items and has been "spoken to" about it !
says there is only one pc in house n he works 7-4 everyday so doesnt get logged in often, hence no response to my contact.
says he has apologised and that is all he can do
BUT THEN he goes and leaves me positive feedback, saying sorry he couldnt complete the purchase do to account problems???
part of me is saying it leaves me free to leave a big fat neg
the other part is saying just to leave it at that and take no further action n dont leave any feedback/neutral
