Phone debranding

I have looked on my other halfs phone which is a samsung E350 and his is debranded!! I want mine like that, Where does samsungs?

you will have to do it yourself
you will need the correct cable
and you can get the flash prog and files here:

Hi.

I'm having problems with debranding my N91 which seems to be O2 branded. It's the silver 4GB version.

1. Could anyone confirm the generic product code for this phone? I got 0523183 but am not sure if this is it. All of the codes I found seemed to be for O2 UK.

2. I thought I'd successfull changed the code using NSS and 0523183. After being asked to update both Nokia PC Suite and Nokis Software Updater, now when I try to update I get the message immediately after starting NSU that "The operation failed due to network problems". No problems with the internet at my end.

Any advice.

EDIT: I just tried with another code 0535747. Now NSU is unable to find the phone yet the PC Suite detects it fine.

Other people seem to have similar problems. I'd change the code back to the original one (you'll find it behind the battery) and sit tight, keep a lookout on here to see if anyone finds a solution. For what it's worth, I struggled to find any codes that would help you, so maybe the phone's too new and you need to wait a couple of months.

Be careful debranding. It is best to do it when you are out of your contract.

If you debrand and upgrade to a firmware release that has not been approved and released for your particular product code (Nokia mobiles) then you have just said goodbye to your Nokia and Network Operator's warranties.

E.g. If you have a 3UK N73 the latest firmware is V3.0638.0.0.1 which you can get from Nokia. However 3.0649.0.0.31 is out in the World. This has not yet been approved by 3 UK and Nokia for the 3UK N73. If you use NSS and get this firmware you say bye bye to your warranties.

Well my NSU seems to have permenantly "failed due to network problems".

Maybe they didn't like me updating so many phones?

Which cable is it you attach to unlock the SEK750i? Is it the one that comes with the phone to attach to the computer or do you need a specific one to debrand??
