Passports, Driving Licences, Utility Bills can all be forged. How do you know the documents you are scrutinizing are genuine?

A PIN without the card is useless. Unless of course the same person who acquired your PIN acquires a new card in your name.

Or has access to the card.

Security breach, have you stopped using them? I am really concerned of what all happened to you. I am not sure if you have heard about Card Cutters Ltd, they are amazing in every aspect customer service, rates and not to forget the security (most important).

Card Cutters Ltd mentioned in all 3 posts by user CCL i think this is self advertising which is against forum rules

well it did not work they have been removed from the forum
  • I suspect there is more to this than you are letting on.

I very much doubt that some random person just called up requesting a new PIN and Barclaycard send it out without any checks or asking for any security information WHATSOEVER.

I need to ask - if someone has your security information and calls up impersonating you, then short of a video camera or a biometric scanner than how are Barclaycard (or indeed anyone else for that matter) supposed to know that it's not you?

Barclaycard have been contacted regarding who requested or autherised my pin no to be sent out they have declined to respond to my request

still don't think we are hearing the whole story.
How would somebody else know all YOUR personal security check data?
How would somebody else use, have access to, or know all the information on YOUR credit card?
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

ask those you live with, as one of them will be to blame
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Best not to give all your security details to your lodger, I reckon....

the biggest problem with barclaycard is their very poor security, nomatter how much you follow their advise and shred documents, destroy pin nos ect some dimwit at one of barclaycard India call centres or barclaycard will autherise a pin no to be sent out even if they know you allready have one all it takes is for a simple phone call from anyone in your property or maybe they just sent it out with replacement barclaycard which i never recieved.

Barclaycard should have contacted me in person if someone requested my pin ,they have a contact no and also have special security info and password which they use when autherising my accountant to have access to
my balance and adjust payments goin in ,i am also well known at local branch.staff all know me and can verify my identity
  • Sorry OP, but every card or bank account I have had has always had at least two security questions, both of which are personal details, so whoever asked for a new pin number will have had access to these details, why should they ring you if the security questions were answered correctly? If the questons are answered correctly they will (naturally) assume that they are talking to you.

Do you use online banking? did you leave yourself logged on and someone request the pin that way?
