GiffGaff - good or bad?
Options
Hi,
I have an iPhone 3GS from O2 which is now out of contract and I am looking at alternatives. The phone was only recently replaced and with the rumours of an iPhone 5 I am holding off upgrading.
Hence looking at GiffGaff as payg for the moment. However, I have read some online reviews which don't paint the service in quite such a good light.
Has anyone any advice on the pro's and cons or a link to a discussion thread please?
Regards
Andy

Very good if you don't hit any issues if you do be prepared for a long time before it can be fixed.0

There's no contract so if you don't like them then just move onto someone else.0 -
I have two son's on GG now, not probs at all.
No.2 son moved this month, activated his sim 4pm, had his number ported over from Orange by 11am the next day.

If you're worried about going with a company you're not quite sure of then for an extra £2.50 per month you could go with Tesco Mobile on a rolling contract. My O2 iPhone 3G has just gone out of contract and I have now gone over to the £12.50 deal for the iPhone. 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB data per month. They use the O2 network so coverage is great. Plus there's a cap on the usage so you will never go over the £12.50. (If you want to take it abroad or phone 0845 etc. numbers then you can add funds to your account to cover it). I've given my teenage son my old phone safe in the knowledge that he'll never present me with an enormous bill!

Terrible in my experiance, customer services is non existant, 3 weeks and I am still waiting for a simple problem to be fixed. Not worth the hassle if you run into a problem expect a long wait for it to be resolved.0
