Valli well done on your mission - I have got DS3's 4 teachers/TAs painted santa pegs for chirstmas, they are lovely!
years back I got a little tree (some sort of conifer) in a little pot - it's now in a big pot and still growing in the garden and survived the snow last winter (I only lost one thing, my bay tree) - the glitter has worn off now - and I use the original pot, a tin with a Christmas scene on) as a pen pot - it's just behind me now. I also got a beautiful snowman candle which i have in my LR ALL YEAR round.

I have started knitting the jumper for the NDBN's grandson. Beautiful wool - merino, cashmere and silk and I bought a shade on offer from a website recommended on the Knitter's Thread. DD is interested and wanted a go  we have now sourced diferent wool and needeles and she's learning to knit. No mean feat considering I'm right handed and cannot fathom out how to knit left handed so she's learning right handed.

Left handed tutorial sourced on line now;)

I misread this. I thought you had been wearing those shoes with wheels in the heels. :)

I am left handed and I learnt to knit sitting facing my Gran so I mirror knit.

Remaining Christmas parcels are ready for posting. All cards are done. I was awaiting DS2 school photos (they don't actually look like him this time).

Just popping on to say I hope JJ had a very happy birthday. Happy birthday to CY's dd too.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. I especially love the dotty cake Dusty. However, my birthday has been postponed until tomorrow. Sickness bug struck late last night. Pollyanna says at least i've still got my pressies to open!

Hugs to all (without germs!) xx

    Morning All

Hope you're feeling better today mudders.

Well I'm up and I've had a bath. The LR needs tidying, the BR needs cleaning, my bedroom needs sorting and everywhere needs hoovering before we go but I don't know how much will get done - DH is still snoring.

Hope everyone has a great weekend as apart from popping on for the next couple of hours I shan't be back until tomorrow some time.

    Hugs

Happy Birthday for yesterday JJ and mudbath - sorry, didnt have time to post

Busy day as usual - hoping the rain holds off and we can get the cement mixer out so he can render the last big problem wall in the kitchen. The rest of the house is a tip, and we (boys) still havent tidied the living room enough to put the tree up.

  • Thanks for all the bithday wishes for DD2 - she had the best day of her life I think!

Tonight is her party - as DD1 has nowhere to go we are staying in to keep her company (I am dreading it!)

Unfortunately 2/3 can't get home so are crashing here (including 1 mate who is really hard work).

    Tomorrow will be more coursework....

    Wish me luck ladies...

I've woke with an awful headache plus Rhys has managed his first night without a dummy,:j needless to say there wasn't much sleep.

I was suppose to be bagging in Tesco's for the school this morning but i just can't face it. Plus PIL away so we've the cattle to do. Hubby can't manage getting the cattle done and looking after 4 kids. Mind you i'm still gonna meet a friend later for coffee, can't wait to have a good catch up (i haven't seen her in nearly 3 years).

So this morning will be spent sorting the washing, boys can tidy their bedroom, DD can tidy her's and i plan to get our bedroom done. Livingroom only needs a quick tidy, same goes for kitchen.

Lamewolf big hugs what an awful thing.
Mudders hope your feeling better today.
Bobby thats fab news for your DD.
Happy Belated Birthday to your DD, CY.:bdaycake:

    Morning all

Ocado shop done - 15% off so I've ordered my Christmas stamps in with some store cupboard items to stock up.

Did a few online shops last night so not much to get for Christmas now.

DS2&3 away to squash already. DS3 has been chosen to play his first match for the county next weekend which is great as he is only 9 and playing in the under 11 team.

Hoping to get some bits done in the garden once the frost clears. Plan:

    Condensation mopping
    shower
    Strip DS3 bed
