You are wrong. Under the DSRs the consumer can cancel at anytime within the relevant timeframe, irrespective of whether the goods are in transit or in their possession. Refer to the legislation if unsure.
That is why I asked on here if anyone had experience with what happens.0 -

All this information is available on the Tesco website. Perhaps best to familiarise yourself with this before buying online in future?0 -

Dude, you can do that if you want - as per my earlier post, but you'll be waiting for 2 weeks for the order to be treated as cancelled. Try it if you don't believe me.
No different from it being delivered to your home - if you cancel but it has already been despatched, they can't stop it making its way to you - you reject the order / accept & then return.0 -

Please read the legislation. Giving out bad advice is really silly.
The item is not being sent to the OP, it is being sent to the Tesco store. Hence it has not left the retailer yet and is entirely under their control. You appear to have missed this fundamental fact.0 -

When you wrote that she brought it, I assumed she brought it with her.The whole replacement/refund how is this confusing I ordered a chair it has not arrived when they stated it would was wondering if anyone had any ideas if I would get a replacement or refund so I can plan ahead and buy from somewhere like argos tomorrow. The chair is suitable from 0 + this is why I choose this one as we knew with her health issues she would have to have a c section.
Not sure why you feel the need to post and make jokes about sending the baby back i asked a serious question not for people with nothing better to do with their time to come along and just be daft.
I still don't understand why the urgency. You can request a refund, it won't be immediate, so you will have to wait longer than it will take them to send you the item. Meanwhile you can go and buy elsewhere, but that would mean you will pay out again for the alternate item and still be without the money from Tesco. You will then spend time on the phone asking where your payment is and have all the hassle and stress that that entails; all for the sake of waiting a day or two. The baby will not be using the chair for a good few weeks, so he/she will not know any different. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

She is planning to use it straight away ( I doubt little one will be out of her arms much my 3 were not ) rather than bending over a cot or moses basket.0 -

It really is not a good idea to use these chairs for a new born. The child cannot support its own head yet and the posture in those chairs is not good for a new baby. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
This is why they design them for new borns that lie back and have a head rest to support the childs head. With 3 children myself I have researched what is safe for children
