tried a combination of vouchers on a £39 clothes shop (plus groceries as well), old small thin spring voucher (£6 I think), new one (probably £7), old quit pack £6 off, and a till spit for 500 points.
Picked a spotty oik and chatted him up, he was very nice and put them all through. So £19 off and 500 points. Yippee.

The only trouble was, didnt like most of the clothes on offer, or they didnt have them in my size, or they were too dear, and it was quite a job spending that amount and still getting value for money. Took me about an hours browsing.
Anyway, if I can combine vouchers anyone can. Go weekends when students are on the tills, they are more helpful.

Picked up the new voucher when I got to the store: they were handing them out. Quite a few discarded in trolleys too.
  • I have just sorted my vouchers and till spits etc. If I get £60 worth of kids clothing, and use all the vouchers I have for clothing. My spend should be ZERO !!! fingers crossed it works - I will report back tomorrow

Cor, you are brave Welshy. :T I was going to do that today, but chickened out. Wish I hadn't as I had an ideal, laid back, young male SA, who I think would have scanned anything!!!!!!

    May have another go tomorrow???????

    Good luck to us both!
  • I have a couple spare if any one is struggling to find them, pm me with your addy.

If you take some of the clothing back for a refund do you take the receipt and are the coupons mentioned. I tried to return £24 of stuff from a £62 purchase yesterday but was told I could only exchange for clothing. Don't really want to do this. Wondered if I should try another store without receipt or just return with receipt and see what's said.

I bought two pairs of ski gloves today, thinking that they came to £30 ( £15 each). Also bought some bits for DD, SA said it was OK to bring a pair back since DH wasn't their to try them on and then couldn't put through blue £6 voucher only £6 quit one which counted against DD's bits too
Went to CS and she pointed out ski stuff was on offer at 20% off at moment so didn't come to £30 only £24, never mind I thought - saved £6 anyway with discount , and another £6 with quit voucher so had only paid £18
Took other gloves back this afternoon and same SA refunded me £15 :j
this is after I showed her the receipt and I'd queried the vouchers this morning! So one pair of ski gloves for £3 - bargain.

Nope, I tried to use the kids one last week when buying £60-worth of adult clothing and it did not work. Still I combined a lot of others!

And to anyone scared to try out clothing voucher combining, here's my advice:

When buying, don't go to the clothing desk (usually in an Extra) go to a till lad!

When returning, do go to the clothing desk with receipt (not Customer service).

I have never had coupon-use queried by clothing desk staff but if it happened I would certainly say it was my Clubcard Vouchers or a '£10 off £50' spend Sainsburys one....whatever made sense really. All coupons just say 'coupon' on your receipt which is handy!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
