  • I've only just noticed after getting more spring time vouchers that there are two different types. They both look identical front & back, but one is for £6 0ff £30 or more x2, and the other is £10 off £50, £7 off £35, and £5 0ff £25.
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)
  • Cor, you are brave Welshy. :T I was going to do that today, but chickened out. Wish I hadn't as I had an ideal, laid back, young male SA, who I think would have scanned anything!!!!!!

    May have another go tomorrow???????

    Good luck to us both!

Thanks Tibbie's mum for the good luck because I have just returned successfuly from tescos. I dithered over which one to go too but decided to go to the one to see if they had the pasting tables (sadly not).

Anyway, I did my family shop tooday - total was £178.04 after discounts and
using vouchers I paid just £79.31 !!! and gained 1010 points today.

I chose some lovely items from the clothing sale which prior to being reduced would have amounted to: £154 !!! (this included a lovely wool coat reduced from £55 to £20). The SA took all my blue vouchers, my quit clothing vouchers and my spring vouchers. So total off a £60 spend was £60 balance to pay was zero  and I gained 200 points for buying kids clothing. (I split it £35 womens, £25 kids)

Very pleased with my shop today - and have some lovely items for my new job in work.

Quite a good idea to stock up on basics first, restock on tights and trainer socks, basic underwear and plain t-shirts that will go with anything, maybe belts and trainers and then just add to few expensive items to bring the total up

tried a combination of vouchers on a £39 clothes shop (plus groceries as well), old small thin spring voucher (£6 I think), new one (probably £7), old quit pack £6 off, and a till spit for 500 points.
Picked a spotty oik and chatted him up, he was very nice and put them all through. So £19 off and 500 points. Yippee.

The only trouble was, didnt like most of the clothes on offer, or they didnt have them in my size, or they were too dear, and it was quite a job spending that amount and still getting value for money. Took me about an hours browsing.
Anyway, if I can combine vouchers anyone can. Go weekends when students are on the tills, they are more helpful.

Picked up the new voucher when I got to the store: they were handing them out. Quite a few discarded in trolleys too.

    Well done Welshy.

I didn't do too bad either, £47-off a £50 spend on women's clothes. I could of got a further £12-off, but got in a kerfuffle with my vouchers as I was going to do a split shop and get some kid's stuff, so my vouchers were set up for that. Still a very fruitful day!!!!

I have some newer vouchers I'd like to swap for the older style Spring vouchers (£10, £7 & 5). I will give two for each new one. Please PM me if you are interested.

    Thanks

Wow! how did you manage that? I've only used the clothing vouchers once. And then I only used one (I've got a lot to learn:D )
I'd be really grateful if you could help me put my vouchers to good use - some of which I've had in my purse for many months but didn't quite know what to do with them. If I spend for example; 50.00 on women's clothes, can I use 1 of each of the following; 10.00blue, 6.00blue, 6.00quit pack, 10.00green and 7.00green - all in one transaction?

Also, can you use these vouchers on the self scan tills? I'm not brave enough to use the normal tills. Not even sure I'm brave enough to use all of the above on the self scan, but if someone else has done this I might just give it a try:D

I only use a manned till as you need the SA to remove the security tags and it gets all confusing at the self service tills. Also, I'm too worried the vouchers will need authorisation once it goes over a certain percentage of the whole spend.

    I used
2 x £10 blue (different barcodes and expiry date)
    1 x £10 older type green springtime
    1 x £7 older type green springtime
    1 x £6 Quit it

I did get a bit confused with my receipt and thought the £4 Daily Mail voucher was a clothing one, so in fact it was only £43-off with clothing vouchers. But if I'd been thinking straight I should have given the SA another £6 blue womenswear and she had also spotted the £6-off menswear which I was too embarrassed to ask her to try it, as we know it will scan.

Nevertheless a good shop, but not as good as Welshy!!!!

I must say the other evening the SA said only 1 voucher per transaction but she did take 2 different £10-off coupons in the end. It's all bit hit and miss, but I know I won't be trying to do a clothes shop on a weekday evening again!!
  • I took my purple woollen coat back today it was reduced from £55 to £20 but I felt and looked like a giant grape in it LOL

So bought a lovely fitted office jacket, a pair of smart black trousers, a denim skirt and a top in exchange for the coat. Very pleased.

This was my one splurge on clothing and I was very fortunate everything was accepted (vouchers wise) at the till
