Pizza Hut adding money to bill without asking

Yesterday I went to my local Pizza Hut restaurant and saw that an additional 15p had been added to my bill for a 'cup of rice'. And that is why the add it without asking. They work on the theory that people are too embarrassed to make a fuss about taking it off.. Very dubious practice in my mind.
I wonder if they would object if you paid 50p less because you are going to donate it to a charity of YOUR choice?
