I did get that thanks ;)
But apparently he was ultra obsessive and controlling, which obviously reaped huge rewards for him and the World, but must have also contributed to his (far too) early demise. Sad.

Happy new diary, Hypno, and whatever Life has in store for you, well, bring it on is what I say! You have been through so much in recent years but you have survived and it sounds as if your children are OK and that has to be down to your determination to see things through. Sounds as if lots of emotional stuff is working its way out, but that's a normal part of human existence. We are humans, not machines, and stuff affects us. Well done for getting rid of the humunguous debts you had built up, well done for holding on to your job and working to make ends meet, well done for being an inspiration to so many people on here. Sad that your marriage ended, but stuff like that happens to people, and who are any of us on here to judge? Sad also that other relationships have changed, but maybe it would have happened anyway. For now, be yourself, look out for your nearest and dearest, and if you have a bad day, try to find at least one thing that you have achieved in that day, no matter how small. There is much in Life to celebrate, you just have to look for it sometimes.

Go Hypno indeed. Interesting stuff, and sorry about your friend but you're right. You are you and sometimes people prefer to see us in the role they had for us all along, and if we emerge stronger and better as a person and they don't like it, well maybe they weren't that much of a friend. Anyway it's hard so have a hug.

You're doing so well and are such an inspiration to many, much more than you know so get out there and knock em dead lady....and yep you're SOOOO worth it! X

Thank you souk, and everyone else who has said similar x

A busy week ahead of me - my first in my new role at work, so one that needs me to throw myself into all things productive. It is our office party on Friday so at least the end of the week has something to look forward to :D

It is my last burlesque class of the beginners course tonight - and I have signed up for the next course in January. It has been a LOT of fun and I would thoroughly recommend it if you ever get the chance to try!

So, coffee......yes, definitely need coffee. Have a good week xxx

    Found You!

You've been through such a period of life changes over the past couple of years that I'm not surprised you have felt confused and lost.

I do relate to MacGirl's story about her mother. Shirley Valentine had quite an effect on me years ago. I think it is common in strong women who have taken charge and made things happen for their families. There comes a point when you just feel overloaded with the roles.

I love that you bought the photographs. You need things in your life that make your heart sing.

(hugs) and a pat on the back.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Yes, things that make my heart sing - that is something I definitely like the sound of!

Having posted first thing about my busy week - I then remembered I actually have a day off on Thursday, to get my hair cut and coloured and a bit of shopping done......so only 3 days before that, meaning an even shorter week, but even more to get done in those three days!

You are all quite right about the fact that we carry on and put ourselves further down the chain of self importance - I think that is a very common fact that is too often overlooked until it comes to crunch point. I just hope that now I am more or less back where I should be, that I will recognise it if it starts to change again!!

Remember you have to look after yourself first, otherwise you won't be in a fit state to look after anyone else. Happy Monday!

Yep Hypno - look after yourself and enjoy the new life you have made for yourself. Tell yourself again and again 'you are worth it'

People change - it is your 'friends' loss to lose a special person. (although when I first read the post I thought I'd missed something - wasn't it you who had a very poorly friend not so long ago?)

Can't believe this time last year we were all wondering if youwould be in the house for Christmas.
