I cannot make others like me. I've done that in the past, trying too hard to be what everyone else expects from me, to worry about what others think of me, and to not honest with myself.
I found a lovely quote the other day which I've written on the back of a beautiful postcard so I can remind myself of it when I start to worry if I've done or said the right thing;
"Your time is limited so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

I'm so glad you've started a new diary - your journey has inspired so many and we'd all be lost without our regular hypno fix! A BIG thank you from me for sharing so much of your life's experiences :kisses3:.
I love the three questions and I'm going to nick those and adapt them for my own use if that's OK.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Thank you OS - that Mr Jobs didn't half come out with some good stuff!
It is true that I need to follow my intuition. Along with that I will deal with the catastrophes that will inevitably crop up, but none of us are going to get it right all the time, are we! And if we were scared of failure, or scared of getting hurt, we would never do anything new again!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Oh my word, Hypno, how powerfully you've written this morning! And how wonderfully!
I'm sorry you've lost your friend - thats got to be devastating, I've been having a readjustment recently with someone I've known over 20 years, and thats been hard enough.
I'm so glad you're paying attention to the inner life so much more - your own intuition will take you where you need to go, at the right pace for you, and its often felt like that was missing in the past.

Yes, definitely missing in the past, KC. But I think the same can be said for so many of us on the whole debt free journey as we divert our attentions away from ourselves to what we think are more important things.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. More inspirational words from the House of Hypno. Good luck with this next chapter - I have every faith the dots will all join up when you look back
Oceanspirit quoted from Steve Jobs commencement speech in 2005 - it's a must read in my opinion so recommend googling the full speech if you haven't seen it (I can't add links for some reason).
Happy Sunday everyone!

Yes, the dots will join up eventually......but there is an element of Rolf Harris and "can you tell what it is yet?" going on!!
I think you are unable to post links because your post count is low - it was done to stop spammers a while back. I will google the speech though.
Tesco beckons this afternoon.....not looking forward to it, but got to be done, and hopefully I can make it the last big shop before Christmas, that even I have to face up to the fact is fast approaching!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Tesco done - just under £200 spent, which has wiped out my grocery budget until next payday, so hopefully it will last. It did include Christmas food such as the meat, some cheese, puddings and some stuff for those days between Christmas and New year, so I think we did quite well.
Still a lot of money though.....nothing is getting any cheaper :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
