Moneywise, bought supplies in Tesco on the way in to work today to help with the cost of coffee and lunches at work. Kenco big refill bags are only £2 each at the moment so well worth stocking up on if you like that sort of coffee.
Picked up a refill packet of Millican0 in the weekly shop - did I remember to bring it with this morning?????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Luckliy what's left in the container in my drawer will carry me through the day. Hi Hypno
I'm a long time lurker and avid reader or you diaries. I hope you don't mind but I have a quick question for you!
I have just booked with a hypnotherapist/NLP to quit smoking
I'm really worried that I'm wasting my money (£150). I don't know of anyone that has tried it and I was wondering (because of you name:D) what your thoughts are? I know it's not a lot of money in the grand scheme of how much I spend on smoking- but I don't want to spend all that money and still end up smoking IYSWIM :rotfl:.
I have got his name from the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and he is a full member. But I'm not sure if this is a reputable body or whether it is governed?
I love reading your diaries and gain a lot of inspiration and ideas from you. I've decided that this is going to be a 'me' year too :j

After experiencing my first spinning class last night (finally!) immediately followed by a pilates class, I am somewhat feeling that my muscles have worked hard!! I think as the day goes on, I will feel it more and more of course, so my membership to the Ministry of Silly Walks will be renewed
You know what you need to stretch out those muscles don't you?
THIS!
You DID say you'd do it this year - I applied yesterday. Come on - you know you want to!0 -

I tried to apply, but it says it is closed already, despite the text saying it would be open til midnight tonight
DFF, I do believe in hypnosis, but you HAVE to want to genuinely give up smoking - like everything in life, you cannot force it - hypnosis will help you if you want to do it, not if you feel that you should do it, if that makes sense.
Don't be afraid to ask any questions of your hypnotherapist before you go - you must feel comfortable with them and if you feel any way uneasy then you won't get the best out of your session.
Good luck with it, and let us know how you get on!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

The main ballot opens tomorrow - so there's still time
I'm doing the Manchester 10k for charidee, so have decided if I get a GNR place through the ballot, I'll run - still for sponsorship, but don't want the pressure of "having" to raise a set amount through a charity place, so will not take a charity place this year.
I'm conscious of not constantly putting the same family and friends under obligation to donate. It's alot to ask when money's tight as it is.
DD1 is off as the school has teacher training, so she's managed to persuade me to buy her some running gear and we're off to do that now. She's started running and has the right physique (unlike her lardy Mum ), so she's nagging me to go for a run this afternoon!
Let me know if you're successful0 -
Jeez.....I have now entered the ballot.
However.....having done so I THEN decided to check the date - and it is the day after a wedding that I am going to in London....and at which my DD is bridesmaid. It is the wedding of the girl who was MY bridesmaid over 20 years ago, and who I consider to be like a sister.
SO.....for the first time, I am hoping I don't get a place. Watch now as my name gets pulled out of the hat :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh yes, your place is now surely guaranteed!!! Typical...0

Hi, yes am having a good weekend, thanks!
Went to the football yesterday and watched Norwich make rare progress to the 4th round FA cup.....followed by drinks, a curry, and a good amount of good humour.
This morning has been a lazy one - and that is the order of the day going forward I think. Next week is going to be a very busy one for me so I want to stay as much in balance as I can today.
Beautifully sunny today, so I am hoping it will stay that way as it really is lovely here!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
