Sorry! Didn't mean to give anyone a headache

In MSE news, I got £70 refund for my glasses today from work. I had almost given up getting hold of it as it is about 5 months since I submitted my receipt. So, that is £70 to pay off my watch when the cheque clears.

I also banked £25 of coins.....I just chuck them in a jar at work and bag them up when the jar is full. This year it went to cover holiday spending money in France. Next year I think it will go towards Christmas as I always seem to get caught out by it, even though it is on the same day every year, without fail!

So a good start really.

Although a friend is coming round in an hour or so and a takeaway will be purchased.....so a bit of financial yin and yang going on :rotfl:

Well, just the morning to get through and then that's me done at work until after the New Year - boy am I looking forward to not having to set an alarm for the next 10 days or so!

Last night I made the last minute decision to go to the Carol Service at the Cathedral. Was lovely, and I was very glad I went, but gosh it was cold, and because I went straight from work, I had not had chance to put on thicker layers of clothing. By the time I got home on the bus I was cold through. Never mind - was a nice start to Christmas

Also picked up all the food from M&S - I went for the easy option this year and pre-ordered everything, including the taxi to transport it home in! Just a couple of bits like bread and milk to get tomorrow which I can do from the local shop, and thats me sorted.

Today will involve meeting up with friends for drinks in town after work.....we all finish at differing times, though, so goodness only knows what the afternoon and evening will look like. I have a budget to include the cab fare home, though, so will enjoy

I'm looking forward to the next few days. THAT is something that a few short weeks ago I never thought I would be saying.

enjoy your lovely long christmas break. i miss shutting down over christmas but i guess i have to do my bit now i work in a 24/7/365 organisation.
