How long to process your FIT applications?

Yes I did receive a letter telling me that I would be getting the full rate FiTs payment but I didn't realise that was what they were talking about when they said 8 weeks. They had already told me that everything was OK with the application over the phone within a week of my registering so I pretty much ignored that letter.
I suppose at the moment we are in limbo land as we are not fully registered for FiTs so we cant move supplier.
Are EDF now blaming Ofgem ? I would say its EDFs fault if they have taken so long to pass our details on that is now mixed in with the "rush" applications.
No, Ofgem have not even been sent our application yet, the whole delay is at EDF. They have only done an initial check, so that letter just confirms what you, and we, were told when we rang to check about a week after submitting the application.
They are blaming the rush of applications in November/December. Presumably they only have a handful of people working on all this and have stopped the final processing of earlier applications (the ones they were up to August on when you rang them), in favour of initially checking the later ones.
So they are now only up to September for final checks.
You would have thought they could have employed a few extra people to speed things up. Compared to other companies, their waiting time is disgraceful.0 -
application recieved by E.on on 5 Dec 2011
a few weeks and one phone call later...
contract received today :j0 -
System fitted 7 Nov, application sent by email to Npower 11 Nov...still waiting. Had assurance on 14/12 that contract woud be sent "shortly", a month later it's still not here! However, Npower have confirmed in writing that all applications received before 12/12 will receive higher rate FiT which takes the pressure off.Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0

FIT contract finally received from EDF today, must be returned by 09/02. Meter readings to be submitted in March, June, September and December, so could be end of June before we get the first payment......8 months and 20 days from installation!0

Got mine today too. So all should be good now
I guess they want a reading from the 1st March ?
There's something is the t&c's about doing 2 consecutive month readings but I haven't read they properly yet.0 -
I'm still waiting for mine from EDF, theyve had my paperwork since late October.
I rang last week and they said they are processing September's now, so I guess another couple of weeks at least.
I asked if they had increased the size of the team to handle applications, to which they said they had. I remain somewhat sceptical ....0 -
You did well there tunnel,
I submitted around the same date to SSE and am still waiting for contract.2kW South, South East Solar Array0
