No issues with Eon they state 30 days but have paid within 14.

my installer recommended Eon due to swift payments.

i was told by Eon they have 40% of applications when statistically they should have 15% or so. says something.

    Im with EDF for FIT's.

My system was installed the end of March '11, took 3.5 months for the application to be approved. Five months from install to the first payment, nearly a full three months from the 2nd reading to payment. Waiting on the 3rd payment, 46 days so far, but I expect to be waiting the the full 3 months again.

In comparison to the other energy companies, EDF are a shambles as far as anything FIT goes, aviod them if you can!

Yes, we are now regretting going to EDF. We had thought it would be easier to use them as they are also our supplier!

Is it possible to change FIT provider?

    Hi jennifernil.

I will give them a ring on the 1st Feb and leave an update here. I dont hold out much hope though !

The applications should be processed in date order so I think its discusting that they would use the "rush" as an excuse for not having processed our applications by now as we were in well before that happened. They did say 8 weeks to me as well so we should have received the contract well before now. I just thought that it was caught up in the Christmas post maybe.

Trouble is that they have us over the preverbial barrel as there is nothing we can do at this stage :(

It now seems that your "8 weeks" is to the initial check, not the registration and contract. Seems a waste of time that they don't just get on and do the whole thing at one go.

You haven't had the "initial check" letter that we got in December then?

Yes I did receive a letter telling me that I would be getting the full rate FiTs payment but I didn't realise that was what they were talking about when they said 8 weeks. They had already told me that everything was OK with the application over the phone within a week of my registering so I pretty much ignored that letter.

I suppose at the moment we are in limbo land as we are not fully registered for FiTs so we cant move supplier.

Are EDF now blaming Ofgem ? I would say its EDFs fault if they have taken so long to pass our details on that is now mixed in with the "rush" applications.

i understand you can change your FiT supplier once a year.

or you could try calling them and see if you can change now due to being unhappy with their service?

I've been waiting for about 5 weeks to hear anything back from our EON fit application.

Looks like i have a while to wait, reading some of the replies here :(.

Will they want more up-to-date readings later ? and will I not get paid for what its produced already ?

    Thanks for reading

could try ringing them to hurry them up

once setup, you will have to give a reading every 3 months to get your payments.

your payment will start from the meter reading you gave at application, tho my neighbour was paid from "0". ive been told by E.on that they dont do that anymore due to a (ofgem?) ruling. you will get paid the difference at the end of the 25 year period ;)
