Well, we are now into our 4th month with the panels, we are happy with them, but certainly not with EDF!
We have no contract, let alone been asked for readings. OH is going to ring them tomorrow to see what is going on.0 -

I had my system registered with them on the 15th October. They told me it will take 8 weeks as they were currently processing the systems installed in August. Its now been 13 weeks and I still have not heard anything from them.
I got in before the government announcements so I dont see why its taking so long.
The really annoying thing is that since I have not even given them a reading yet I will have another 90 day wait till I receive my money0 -
You were in the same week as us then, our panels were fitted Monday 10th October. Paperwork submitted that same evening.0

Did you get any indication of how much longer it would take to receive all the final paperwork and a request for a reading ?
I will give them until 1st Feb and then phone them if I don't receive it by then.0 -
No, nothing. Think we will ring them next week.0

Finally got through to EDF, it seems a shambles. They are using the pre FIT cuts rush as an excuse it seems.
We had panels installed 10th October, application submitted via e mail that evening, received by EDF on the 11th. We rang later in the week to check they had received it and this was confirmed, also confirmed that the papework was in order.
We were then told to expect paperwork within 8 weeks.
lanstrom, above was told in mid October that they were currently processing August. So about 8 weeks behind.
Just before Christmas we received a letter dated 7th December saying our application had been looked at and had passed their initial check, but that next there would be a final check before the system would be registered with Ofgem and a contract prepared. No timescale for this was given. So the 8 weeks mentioned was to the first check, not to the time a contract would be sent out.
When we receive the contract WE are required to sign and return it within 10 working days.
So it's OK for them to take ages, but we have to be quick.
Nothing from EDF since then, so OH spoke to them today (be prepared for a very long wait to get through).
He was told that there was a big backlog because of the rush of people applying before the deadline for the reduction in the FIT, and they were now processing September applications. This presumably means the final processing....hopefully.
So 2 months to first check plus it sounds like another 2 months, at least, to final check. Then an unknown time till contract is sent out. Then presumably another wait till they request a first reading.
How come an application that was in 2 months before the FITs reduced is affected by this rush?
They refused to give even any idea of how long it would be before they got to our application, but by the sound of things it will be another month at least.
We have some holidays planned, which could mean we are away when the contract does arrive, they have noted this. So if it comes while we are off on our 3 month caravan trip on the continent, we will not be able to sign and return it before about the end of June.
No idea how long after that it will be before we can submit readings, then a possible 3 month wait to get paid. At this rate it could well be a year from installation to first FIT payment!0 -

No issues with Eon they state 30 days but have paid within 14.3.995kWP SSW facing. Commissioned 7 July 2011. 24 degree pitch + Solar Immersion installed May 2013, after two Solar Immersion lasting just over the guarantee period replaced with Solic 200... no problems since0
