How long to process your FIT applications?

Options
I'm quite staggered,i had my system fitted on november 23rd,submitted my application by email the same day and received my full Fit contract yesterday(2nd dec). Must say after considerable reading up on the subject i thought i'd be waiting till next year for confirmation of my contract. So a big heads up to SSE.
How long are the other of the big 6 taking to process the FIT applications?

Submitted my application to Eon on 19th October, still waiting for FIT contract. They have confirmed by email that I qualify and that I should receive contract within 8 weeks.

Took ages for us (months), and the solar was fitted when we moved in! (new house). We complained loudly, and they compensated us for loss of FIT.
  • tunnel - that great news , I'm with SSE :)

The SSE online yes/no questions..... did you fill in the box: yes/no YES

or did you erase the 'no' leaving a 'yes' ?

I've never used "Microsoft WORD" editable form like this; and If they use computer-reading, it might be fussy ?

I scrubbed out the relevant word,ie do you understand the T's & C's Yes/No.. then wrote the word yes at the side as well.
Scanned them all and sent,i got the confirmation email the next morning and as i said the contract dropped through the letterbox on friday. Pretty damn good on their end if you ask me!!!

  • Ah... so you printed it out first.

I'm editing on the screen, no printing/scanning this way; but it's pretty disconcerting when you find you can edit THEIR text,
    as well as ours !!

Good that you had quick response. :)

Sorry for the delay ormonde. Bit of a backlog at the moment with the extra demand due to the recent FIT changes.

Don't worry though, the eligibility date is receipt of a valid application.

Well it is now 8 weeks since my application went in to Eon and I am still waiting for my contract. I phoned today and they were not able to give me a time scale! Very disappointed with Eon, nobody seems to know how long it will be.

Well, it's now 11 weeks since Eon received my application and still no contract! They say they have sent out the contract twice but I have received nothing. Any suggestions where I go from here?
