In the world of parking disabled drivers are just arrogant "I can park where and how i want" types of people
A bit of a sweeping accusation that isn't it?
Generally I find the people who park with a blue badge inconsiderately are the people who are using the blue badge fraudulently.
I have a blue badge I park considerately I have had 1 parking ticket and never had a PPC one! [as the driver] in 38 years driving!
Plus I can honestly say I don't see many seemingly genuine blue badge holders parking badly!
However getting back on topic blue badge or not, if the OP's Dad is disabled they have a right in law to use disabled amenities! I don't see how he can be regarded as "arrogant" by anyone for parking in a disabled bay or believing they can!0 -

Now that is just arrogant nonsense. I am not a blue badge holder myself but my mum and mum in law both are and when I have them on board I park properly at all times, as does my wife.
The vast majority of times that I have seen poor parking by "disabled" drivers is when a car has been parked in a disabled bay without displaying a blue badge with the driver having no signs of a disablity."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Not excusing 'poor parking' of course but the driver could be collecting a disabled person from the shop. I used to park and collect my late Mum when she shopped at Tesco in her wheelchair, but if you'd seen me park up in one of the private disabled bays and walk away then you may have thought I was pulling a fast one (she held on to her Blue Badge as she often got a taxi there or a lift from another relative instead).
Or such a driver could have a hidden chronic disability which qualifies under the Equality Act 2010 such as a heart condition, back condition, crohn's disease, ME or MS in remission, cancer...the list is pretty long and they could look perfectly fit on a good day. And of course in a private car park the BB scheme does not apply but the Equality Act does.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No not really, that is how parking bosses see them. It's not my personal attitude hence the quotes (although in fairness I've had a lot of them give me abuse over the years - they then shut it when you ask to see the owners details on the other side). Parking bosses see the disabled as a pain and a bunch of moaners who like to play in the disabled badges.
Thats just the way it is. Although the world of parking tries to make it look like they care for the disabled with all the disabled parking etc, they don't really give a rats. It's a box on a form they keep ticked to keep the big people happy.
Sorry if that offends anyone but thats simply the way it is.0 -

Sorry, but your explanation is just BS. You didn't make it clear that you regarded your earlier post as how the "bosses" see disabled driver and now you have been taken to task on it you are now furiously backpeddling."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

I'm not back peddling. Sure I wrote what I thought would be understood and if I've not made that clear enough then I'm at fault. If you don't however accept my explanation then thats your choice. Even criminals get second chances.0

In all fairness, thats how I read that post - in other words pointing out that the companies view of disabled parking was to view them as an inconvenience and not TW's personal view.
