Back from cinema. DS having a huge meltdown about going was a close run thing but he was ok in the cinema but adamant he didn't like it. I now feel shattered and ready for bed :o

Beemuzed hugs for you, can you speak to Dr direct about DS condition?

My mate Clare has a very wise saying that covers all actions, words and thoughts related to the male of the species... "Men are stupid". uses is to explain any male-related act....and it's always appropriate!

I am a second chancer as I always hope that if I was every in a position where I needed a second chance people would be kind enough to give me it.
You will never get a third!

JC - Your mate is right there! I do normally do 2nd chances but I don't want to get hurt and am not getting a good feeling this time.

I had a lovely meal out with uni ladies, we just went for food, no-one was up for drinks thank god!! Am home now in my pjs :)

I've had email from ebuyer saying my laptop is faulty but they are out of stock so I will have to wait for a replacement. Or I can pick a new one. I just had look online and the one I got in July was £229, and the cheapest same make one they have now is £360  not paying that!! Will have to shop around which is annoying.

OS update - WM been on with my dresses on handwash, DW been on, sofa bed packed away.

    Night all

Thank goodness I feel better today and full of energy. This doesn't happen too often so I was determined to make the most of it.
Cleared and cleaned half the dining room, removing all the things that don't have a permanent home - they are all now in the hall!
Was going great guns when I had two lots of visitors and a long phone call. Rushed up to the market for veg and got back to find 2 nice people on the doorstep with loads of food, blankets etc for the drop-in centre, they are all now in the dining room!

A cheese and salad sandwich for lunch and then the rest of the afternoon cooking, cauliflower cheese for us and 4 large lemon meringue pies for the drop-in tomorrow, enough for 30 hungry people.

You are all adults, all with an equally important part to play so what is all this childishness about trying to apportion blame? She needs to grow up.

Shalva: Hope you enjoy your exciting trip.

JackieO: Hope the blanky is growing nicely.

That's it for today, hope all the sleepless ones can get a bit of rest.

  • Please may I join in? I'm a newbie struggling to live on savings till husband gets a new job with 2 kids 14 & 16 and Im disabled. Luckily, Im quite savvy with money and know how to pad things out and eat nutritiously on a low budget but always looking for new methods or options. Apparently, we're not entitled to benefits bar child benefit and my DLA as we have savings.
