the bonus of 1.66% finishes 18 months after account opening

So in essence, currently recieving 3.12% monthly, my new rate will be 3.12 minus 1.66 = 1.46%...

May aswell open a Virgin instant saver, thats paying 1.5% monthly i think?

    But thanks...

    FWIW my email says:

On the 18 month anniversary of opening your account, your bonus will expire and your interest rate will be 1.50% Gross P.A/AER if you receive annual interest or 1.49% Gross P.A/1.50% AER if you receive monthly interest.

Fortunately not, though their instant saver does have the advantage of unlimited instant access, and a marginally higher rate at 1.55%.

If there's a maximum six notice-free withdrawals permitted (including closure) within any 12 month period from the date of account opening does anyone know what happens if you try to make a seventh? Is it refused or is there a notice period/penalty to be served? What's the most you can withdraw at once? I've already done five and want to withdraw most of it next month.

As i am travelling, i have no UK address, Virgin are aware of this, i still have full access to my cash. But i am not sure the system will allow me to open a new online account within my Virgin portal. If not, i have no choice to sit tight, but i might be lucky?

    Thanks Stompa:T

I would make your next one, the 6th, the final one and take/move the lot.
    I can`t find what happens if you make a 7th, here`s a link for the T&C:

Have you made all five so far within 12 months, some may have been outside the 12 month period.

I've finally managed to log into my account which is apparently the first time since I opened it!

I made my initial deposit on 08/12/2011 so will my interest rate finish on 08/06/2013 ?

However, I'm concerned at the footnote at the bottom of my statement which says...
*Interest rate not what you expected? This may be because you haven’t paid in any money yet and until you do, your interest rate will be 0.10% as your cleared balance is under the minimum set for this account.

I haven't ever made any deposits or withdrawals on this account.

ETA: Ahhh don't worry, it says my interest rate is "online reward exclusive interest rate 3.16% Gross" at the top of the page. I misunderstood that the footnote related to all accounts.
“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”
