The interest is added straight away and the whole lot is "transferred" to your new account immediately and you keep the same account number.
Your statement will still show your esaver 4 and the new account just carries on from there.

If only all banks worked as efficiently as NR.
    I agree, I'm impressed.

Wish i never bothered now, spent an hour last night opening it, thought it was too good to be true, so you cannot add funds after the first 30 days, i hate all these restrictions they put on these account nowadys, hasssle...............:mad:Easy access on six withdrawals per annum? No more added funds, its more a less an 18 month fixed rate bond?

With a few penalty free withdrawals allowed for good measure?

Thanks for letting me know about being able to add for 30 days AirlieBird.

I've opened the account but haven't yet received my welcome pack although the 30 days should cover a couple of bonds maturing in the next month that I wanted a temporary home for until another decent fixed rate bond comes along.

    AN UPDATE.

Just been on the phone to the Rock, they have changed this term and condition, you can make as many deposits as many times for up to the account limit. The 30 days rule has gone.

Also its six withdrawals per calender year NOT the aniversary of the opening of the account...

I not doubting you just pointing out it`s not been updated on their site as you would expect.

The six withdrawals per calendar year doesn`t make any sense.
So you open the account in Oct and you can withdraw six amounts up to the end of this year and then start another six from January.
    I just don`t see it.
    Someone`s got it wrong somewhere.

Without doubting what meatandtwoveg seems to have been told, it doesn't sound right to me either.

If Terms & Conditions have changed, account holders should expect an e-mail.

I am not calling again, still awaiting identification docs to be processed. Can someone else call 0191 279 2055, get something in Rock? But he definately told me this...

I spoke to a different person in Northern Rock today and was told again that there was a mistake in the T&Cs but this time he said that there was no limit on the time one can fund the new Online Reward Exclusive account, which has now been pulled as we were warned. I do wish they would brief their staff properly.
