You did :o She is my one guilty pleasure that I go without everything else to keep. I have had her 8 years and tried to sell her recently but when OH found out and saw potential person ride her he took over most of her cost to keep. We have 3 altogether although now I am only responsible for her shoes (£35 every 7 weeks, her insurance and any clothing she needs) Luckily we have managed to find ways of reducing every possible cost for them but it does mean going to them at 6 in the morning and again after work and in winter its no fun. One belongs to OH and the third to a friend overseas (due to return May 2012) who pays for his keep and I get to ride him for looking after him. I used to compete a lot but due to my debt busting have cut back on all that. :D

    Sorry to waffle on :o:o

I have discovered something about the £1 shop tins, not sure if this has been mentioned before. I bought a tin during the year and when I went to empty it this year I didn't want to use a tin opener. I like my tin and I wanted to use it again so I discovered that if you get a knive/spoon/pen/something that fits into the slot and bend the slot apart so that one side is sticking up the way and one side is down the way (big enough to get the coins out), you can shake and rattle the pot to get the coins out (kind of like using a knife in a terramundi but without the knife and with lots of noise). It does take ages and it is really noisy so I wouldn't be tempted to do it all the time, once a year is enough. Just a thought. :)

More change in for me :D

    Afternoon one & all
Just been to Mr. M's in Speke LC2's old stomping ground and all the tinsle heads are starting to rouse from their slumber, just realising it's Christmas next week.

Will be popping a lovely £2 coin into the Chicago & New York pot when I get home, plus my usual £2 and some nice small coins into the sealed pot

Re the staff room change, if you don't pick it up, someone else will, usually me!

I'm implying nothing of the sort, Oops :naughty: ...... it's a fact!!! Well, not really, we have been known to get 1 maybe 2 visits a year.

However, looks like things are looking up and we'll see more of you which will be just GREAT!!! :D Quite seriously though, I'm sure coming to the thread more regularly is encouraging. Yours is always a friendly and 'old' face Oops, good to see. :grinheart

Not bad at all, fishcakes, well done in fact.

Ahh, they're such a joy, LAM, we used to have one for our lad when he was younger and I used to love her, but then DS suddenly became allergic (!!!) so that was that, sadly we just couldn't afford to keep her. I'm glad your OH realised her worth (friendship too), you enjoy her. My friend's got 2 beauties, lovely animals. It's nice to waffle about things we love and it was to do with finances! ;)

GAP, you're so right, though I'm amazed others haven't said it before. I'm blowed if I'd cut into a tin...they cost a POUND!!!!! I'd NEVER smash my Terramundi either...no way!!! You hang on to that tin, Gap!!! ;)

See...I just knew you'd agree with the table cash, sparks..you'd even challenge it if it were nailed down!!! :rotfl:

    Excellent Kirstysm! :j

You just keep reading and potting, maz and you'll do well. I don't get any joy with IE either, it's FF for me.

That's what we're all about, nanto3girls, saving change where possible, keep at it.

Ahh..there you are, cashless_wonder, I thought for the minute we had another Oops! :rotfl:

Good for you, DorsetGirl, us from down this part of the world do do well.

To Observer, Hidden and izzoh, thanks for all your help on tother thread. You've been marvellous and I so appreciated all your help, but I've not asked fermi to lock it. See you next year! ;)
