Hiya sparky, what on earth's a tontine? Or is it Liverpudlian lingo? £20 a week???!! :eek:

A tontine is a Christmas saving club, the £20 a week is the money I would have paid off my credit card bills, so I won't miss it and I'll have £1000 to put towards our trip to New York & Chicago in February 2013.

BTW I've now paid off 75% of my credit thanks to the O/Time.

1p in the pot today, found it on the street outside my parents home. I should visit them more often :rotfl:.

Afternoon folks, added 59p to make a grand total of £2.16. Even Hubby has started handing over loose change so hopefully it will all add up!

That's ok then, Kerry, though in all honesty I did wonder if you were away working as before. Just take care wherever you are, have a good relaxing weekend.

Marvellous news about your hubby helping you save too, Wyre, it really makes a difference.

Hubby took shopping over to an elderly neighbour, and as we'd already paid for the goods up front, he gave me all of what she paid him.....for the pot!!!! So, that's a whole £14.21!!!!!!!! :j I've waited nearly a week for that!!

whew! Back form christmas shopping. I made it round the city and have a fiver and some change in my wallet so in the pot it goes! Not too much more left to buy, thank god! Hopefully have some more pennies for my pot soon!

A lovely £2 coin and 20p in the pot today. I would have had £8 to go in yesterday but it went towards pizza:eek: very un-MSE I know but I had a rubbish week and can never say no to pizza.
