£10.85 into the pot last night. £9.20 of that was donated from the OH so i'm happy with that
Going to try my hardest to have as many NSD's from now til next wednesday. Taking my mummy for mothers day dinner tomorrow then if i can make the little money i will have left last until wednesday i should be able to easily put £200 into my savings account
Now that i have told you all my plan i think i am more likely to not spend any money
Also, i have become slightly addicted to couscous so that should help with my budget as it is so cheap..
Tried the chocolate philly last night...... i will give it one more go but i think its a no go for me i'm afraid....Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Feeling a bit stiff this morning after yesterdays grass cutting and gardening but as I stolled along from the post office I spotted a shiny 1p roadkill - yes I struggled but I still managed to get down to get the little blighter.
Off out now to do a bit more grass cutting at Mums.

Have you tried the giant couscous? Not as cheap as regular couscous but not too expensive, and scrummy
I seem to eat a lot more starches (risotto, couscous, quinoa, pearl barley etc) these days (used to be a prize carnivore). Opinions change as to whether or not that's a good thing health-wise, but it ain't half cheap!Sealed pot challenger#1677

OOO, give me a nice huge rare steak anyday! however, that is a little harder to keep in the draw at work for a while. Ha ha. I haven't tried the big couscous, nor did i know you could get it. I have just been buying the Ainsley Harriott ones cause my sister always eats them. i thought i'd never get on with them but theyre very filling and soooooooo nice
Speaking of steak. I am going to have a mixed grill when i take my mummy and daddy for dinner tomorrowSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Hi again folks, hope all are well and safe.
Don't know about the rest of you, but the fog here has been completely thick all day...even though they said it would lift after lunch!!! 3 days in a row and I don't like using the tumble dryer! Too darned expensive! :mad:Well done, Lost, 12p roadkill is brilliant!!
Our internet is rubbish too, anyone else having problems and could THAT be the fog?
Your OH is certainly getting to grips with saving, Ruth, excellent work him! Thoughts of eating chocolate Philly really turns my stomach - yuk!
Oh dear, b_e_g, now I see why you put the shocked smilie on when saying about your DH sharpening the mower blade, for a silly moment I'd thought it would be him who did the mowing! All the best with doing your Mum's.
I always try to be health conscious with food too, RedGoose, but when they keep on changing their minds it ain't easy! Will try the giant couscous though as we like couscous, but not tried that one yet. Thanks.
Aha! I've not tried the Ainsley Harriott one yet either, Ruth so thanks for that tip...we'll have couscous coming out of our ears soon!!
Still saving well then jakes-mum and sparky, good for you both! I guess LC 2 is on your patch again then sparks!!!
Well done with your 20p roadkill, mishmogs!Enjoy your evenings all and I hope it's fog-free tomorrow!!! :mad:Sue xAnyone wishing to join, just ask, you're more than welcome, it's never too late.Please read the 1st post on Page 1 first so you know what's what.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j0 -
