Mr G went to his parents' this morning while I was at work, and told his mum about our sealed pot challenge. She had an open pot of her own, and donated its contents to ours. So today we've potted £31.04.I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.0

I am 27 on Saturday.....this is NOT good
samtoby, this is good news! I am over 60 and still enjoying every minute. Make the best of every opportunity (now it sounds like I'm preaching...sorrybut it's true) The best is yet to come so have a WONDERFUL birthday
I've been wondering about that - what does everyone do to keep their pots safe?
I don't keep mine on display either, rosyq. It's in a cupboard and I imagine TV, mobile phones and computer would be a more obvious target. Anyway, I put notes into my BS account and only change gets potted.
Today I potted 35p change from food shopping, 13p from my pocket money and 3p shopkill (left in the self scan machine) making a grand total of 51p It should have been much more but OH had a cataract op yesterday and it cost £4.50 for hospital parking
plus I was so stressed out I had to buy a coffee (80p) then sit in the car for an hour feeling queasy whilst he had his op  I am such a wimp
Big <<hugs>> to anyone with someone in the Forces. I cannot imagine how awful it must be to see them go. My tiny contribution is in making and selling cards with all profit going to Help for Heroes. Praying all our boys and girls come home safely...
Have a lovely evening everyone and welcome to any Newbies xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Selling cards is a brill idea
I go on the H4H shop website and spend FAR too much money on stuff i dont need. I also wear my H4H bear pendant every day and my H4H wrist band and BFBS band. I'm considering getting rid of all my other jewellery as i dont wear any of it any more lol. Not much of a contribution but... And i bought all the christmas cards cause they amused meSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Isn't there some lovely stuff on thereIf everyone bought something now and again the funds would soon swell. Even my OH wears his wristband regularly without being prompted

Evening all, hope everyone had a lovely day.Hi aliboy and really good news of your £70 e-bay sails. Well done!
My heart goes out to all your girls with loved ones in the forces, it must be hard for you and for them alike. Lets hope it won't be long until they're safely home!
samtoby, 27 is such a tender age, believe me. However, with each passing Birthday keep making yourself a promise to get all you can from life during the next year. Treasure it all, it's so worth it.
Good to hear you had another lovely family meal out, LC 2, lovely times.Chilly here too until 2pm when the fog finally cleared after 2 & 1/2 days. It soon warmed up though.
b_e_g my hubby cut the lawn for the first time on Sunday, always looks so good again. :grinheartlittle_sweetie wrote: ».....making a grand total of 51p It should have been much more but OH had a cataract op yesterday and it cost £4.50 for hospital parkingplus I was so stressed out I had to buy a coffee (80p) then sit in the car for an hour feeling queasy whilst he had his op  I am such a wimp
I do hope your OH is recovering well, little_sweetie, it's hard when a loved one has any op so don't feel wimpish. Some of us aren't too bad with ops, some of just can't take it, but we can't change which category we're in.Now who's preaching!
Whatever you're doing tomorrow folks, enjoy it and take care!Sue x
