This was a bit too burnt to be nice, sadly:(
I might try the Nutella idea though. Another good snacklet is toast with chocolate on (put under the grill to melt the (ideally mega-dark) chocolate and add a teeny sprinkle of salt before you eat it).
APPARENTLY the chocolate philadelphia tastes the same as nutella just creamier.... i have some in my fridge but haven't dared try it yet. Might have to have toast for my tea :SSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Haven't been around the forums much but my pot is still going! My boyfriend picked it up the other day to try and estimate how much was in it - It's probably about a fifth full now; anything from £1 upwards! Apparently at some point I've dropped a five pound note in there (he had a peak through the slit and could see the Queens face)
I don't remember doing that, but I imagine it was because I wanted to have a little 'extra' surprise for when I opened it
Must be very careful with the pot, my sister had one that was nearly all full when she got burgled and along with her camera it was the only thing they stole£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -

Ooh yes mega spooky! I have to disagree though, I'm not that fussed about nutella cos it's too nutty (i'm way too nutty myself to need any more - sorry had to get that in before someone else did) but the philly had that lovely twang from the cheese and wasn't too sweet. I could eat a whole tub . I'll try not to tho :rotfl:

I've been wondering about that - what does everyone do to keep their pots safe? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

My pot isnt sealed so every so often i bag up all the coins ready to be taken to the bank (when i finally get my savings account on friday) the bags are then put into a box which is kept under the huge pile of clothes in my room. If someone is desperate enough to rummage through all those, maybe they are more in need of the money than me..........Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Found a pound in another bag last night, so in the pot that went.
Also, for the first time in over 3 years, I have been able to start putting into my savings account. As I get paid on a Monday, I'm taking out what I have left on Sunday from the ATM. Anything that's coinage is going in the pot, and anything that is notes will go in the ISA.
Still got my debts, but they're much more manageable now - and I'm working heaps of overtime to clear it all.Sealed Pot Challenge No 3060 -
Sadly nothing to pot so far this week - will have to have a good scout around later to see if I can find any pennies (or anything really)
Can I just say I that I have tried the chocolate philly as well and unfortunately for me it didn't hit the spot- spread it on those dutch crispbake thingies from HB. Anyway I'm not too disappointed as I shouldn't be eating the damned thing anyway.
Oh no - DH has just taken the blade off the lawnmower to sharpen it before [STRIKE]we[/STRIKE] I cut the grass sometime this week
Hope everyone is well.

50p in the 3rd sealed pot I seemed to have started
re pots in houses, I just dont leave mine on display, I figure ive got a 46" TV, a laptop and a computer that have been happily sat in full view of anyone who might want to peek in the window, so I dont really see how my little sealed tin tucked out of sight is going to make my house much more likely to get burgled :think:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
