Ruth, does your DH have any tax owing after being redundant, hence the LARGE amount of cash paid?

I'd check it out with them to give myself peace of mind. However, if it is all legit.....brilliant!!!

Is there any way i could find this out? I got his wage slip today. It says £1080.83 as Salary and £196.69 as Shift Allowance...... It only states the tax he had paid. I think he will just have to ask his boss like you are all suggesting :( i hope its correct. We could do with the extra.....

Anyhu, on a SPC note, I had to sort some stuff from my room at my mums house (ive only been moved out about 4 years :) ) and in the process found 61p :) so i am now up to £109.55 on that pot and £90 something on my 20p pot. I must check the actuals for my sig. Its only 61p but i was very happy :)

On the downside, i had to loan my sister £525 for her rent and i have no idea how she will pay me back so i am a little deflated :(

  • Hi everyone - haven't posted for a while..... been slim pickings lately for the pot!
found 1p in Homebas* car park on Saturday!

But nothing else going in yet as one of my chickens (Henrietta) is poorly and has had a vet visit follwed up by 4 days of daily visits for antibiotic injections. Also have been told to not eat any of her eggs for at least 14 days!(not that she's laying at the moment) so where she shares the coup with her sister and we can't tell which one has laid which egg we will have to discard both of their eggs for the next 14 days !!! ( my friend usually buys them off me - so that monies will not be going in the pot for a while! :(

Just have to find some change from somewhere else ( other half better watch out !!)

hope everyone's ok and happy potting .....

Hi nan, are you decorating the whole house? What colours are you using? I'd love to decorate mine, but it is rented so would be spending money we don't need to :o

Hi 166million,no we aren't decorating all the house, just our bedroom. The downstairs was done 5 months ago.
On one wall we are having wallpaper, black with large cream flowers, the other walls will be cream.Got new red bedside lamps and new red and cream curtains.
Hubby been busy putting in some extra sockets this morning. Our nephew(painter and decorator) is coming tomorrow to do the painting. He is out of work at the moment, and needs the money.

    Potted my daily pound.

You could always scramble the eggs (shells too) and put them out for the wild birds? perhaps not if they may be hers and she's on antibiotics. I don't know.

£2.92 for the pots today. I shouldn't have to spend any more today either. Going to pot my birthday money £30 tomorrow when i get paid :) I needed it to spend this week as money was tight. Also if i get a lift to my mums and back today i will pot £10 that i would have spent in taxis in the last 2 days :)

I have a meeting March 9th with the bank about getting a new isa and a savings account. Isa will be for saving money out my wages and planning on putting all the money ive potted into the savings account so it will be safe :)

    Happy Pancake Day xx
