It'll be a pleasure to have you with us, supasick. A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving. :D You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works. NB. Pots will be emptied on 29th November 2011, thank you.
*Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much.

Keep with the thread, supasick and you'll be far more motivated.

Found 1p shining away at me at Moorgate this morning, it then tried to escape coming through the turnstile at Liverpool Street by sneaking into the crease of my oyster card holder, but the person behind me picked it up and gave it to me with the oddest look on her face as I hurried back to pick it up hahaha

It just HAD to be another SPC member who felt obliged to hand it over surely! :rotfl:Thanks for the laugh, kerri it really did have me giggling.

Morning, just, LC 2, now that's odd (not you) but I just had 2 alerts come through to me that you'd replied - very strange though there is a thread near(ish) to the end of the main board index or whatever you'd term it to be??

thanks Sue-UU. Now i just need to seal up my old mayo jar! Might wrap it up as well so i cant see how much is in there. Remove as much temptation as possible! I was thinking of duct taping over the top then cutting a slit in? Otherwise i'll have to find somethign else to use. I'm determined now to stash the cash! I'll post a photo once its finished! Rather excited about it now!

  • Hello

Please could I join the sealed pot challenge? Someone on another thread recommended it. I have a penny jar but it tends to get dipped into so I think a sealed pot is the way forward!

Any advice on pot size-age would be appreciated. I have a choice of either:

-one of the largish round tubs you get mini chocolate rolls in from the supermarket
    - a plastic jar that 'tinned pears' came in (from Mr A) that is a bit smaller than the plastic tub.

Just me saving, and saving is intermittent rather than a guaranteed everyday sum.

Quite looking forward to a bit of diy with the craft knife and superglue tonight!

    Thanks :)

    Hi Sue-UU

How timely is this, I have just discovered you SPC 4 and it sounds amazing, and I thought must look out for the new challenge in 2012 and it is already here :D:D

Please can I join SPC 5? As i am new to all this can i set myself a £200 challenge?

SPC 5 has already made me smile - I have found an old pigy bank from my childhood in a box in the spare room. It is no longer junk it has been revived and now has about 25p in coppers from various parts of the house :D

My pot has been sealed and wrapped. Found abit of wrapping paper that was left over so has used that up. Very MSE of me! I have already scrabbled together a decent amount of coins. Even found a pound coin to add! Reckon maybe £3ish?

Duct taping will be perfect, supasick. Thanks so much for putting you No on.

How about a pot you can't see through, allybee101, less temptation that way! BTW, whoever recommended us is terribly wise!

I love the pig, suze369! It's good to see your so excited, you will be this time next year.

    All Targets are updated, everyone.

Cor jakes-mum, that was lucky you with that e-mail and well done on the scarf. ;)
