  • Good morning everyone!

It's so cold this morning I can't seem to get going but OH has just gone off to his p/t job and I feel so guilty that I thought I'd just post on here and then start the ironing. That should warm me up :)

Well, went shopping with DD on Friday and spotted a proper sealed tin with a lovely cupcake pattern on it for £1, just had to have it. That left £19 out of my weekly allowance but then bought my little Granddaughter 2 much needed pairs of warm school trousers for (you guessed it) exactly £19 :( DD bought my jkt potato lunch tho.....
Have now started my posh new tin off with my savings so far £4.28 I can't cheat from now on, I can only tell by the weight how I'm doing. NSD now until next pocket money day! Have sold a few bits on eBay which should net around £10 once the payments come in :T Still searching fruitlessly for roadkill......

PS glad your voice has come back to you Sparky! And good morning SueUU

  • Morning everyone.

first road kill found by DS at cross-country comp 1p.

I was so proud of him yesterday but he was so disappointed. He came in the last quarter out of 100.

His 2 PE teachers could see how he was feeling and we all said to get picked for county level was fantastic and the fact that only 2 boys from his school were picked was amazing. Being the competitive type he wasn't listening bless him. He knows that sprinting long/triple/high jump are his thing and he hates cross-country so he was feeling better about it when we got home. DH was great with him. Considering he only had 3 hours sleep after finishing nights, where as usually puts his foot in it with what he says, said just the right thing.:)

After a about 3 NSD last week thought we could have a treat, so we had a take away for tea. £16 shared by 4= £4 a head. Not too extravagant. DD2 was out on a sleep over (very quiet when 1 of them is out):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Not potted for about 3 days so potting £10.

Very frosty here this morning and looks lovely from the warmth of my house.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Hellooooooooooo Potterssssssssssss

DH went off to the pub last night and came back with a fist full of change which I chucked all the smaller denominations in the tin. Cant remember how much as ive been asleep since then  totally freaking out now as the party is TODAY!!! plus realised Jake hasnt bought Lily a birthday present . . . her birthday is only tomorrow

I have made all the food now, sausage rolls are cooling on the side, my butterfly cakes are all in a tin ready and waiting only got some carrots to peel and slice as they all seem to like raw carrot for some reason!! :o Livingroom floor is covered in punchball balloons and the hallway full of games and prizes :o think ive got a bit carried away with it all :o

On a more money saving note . . . Ive just seen that DH has left a load of change on the bookcase . . . . wonder if it needs to 'wander' over toward my pot . . . . :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Thanks Sue. Managed to use my coupons in a few different shops so was very pleased. I love it when you get money off the things that you were going to buy anyway!

  • Morning all!

Scanned £30 worth of DVD's and CD's for Music Magpie last night, and also when at Tesco found a very large receipt in the trolley I was using which had not added the club card points - there were over 100 points = £1 in club card vouchers, so I went to customer services, got them added to my club card and potted a £1 when I got home :-)

Have you seen the new "Sherlock Holmes" movie? There's a scene in that where they have to ride a horse & Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) won't get on one because
