I'd like to join this challenge and just going to say thanks for your post as my little one got given a present at nursery - its a tin with flying saucer sweets on outside and a money slot (a thin one) but no opening and I was thinking today how the heck am I going to open that so put it for charity shop....but now I am joining this and now that you have helpfully told me how I will eventually open it I will be fishing it back out and using it - thanks! My elder boy wants to make a papier mache Scooby Do out of his Scooby Annual so that could also become a sealed pot!

    Welcome victoriaplum1
Sue will be along to allocate you a membership number later, so please start making your "Scooby Do" pot and read post 1 page 1 and enjoy saving :D

£1.83 liberated from my DW's purse this morning on my way out to work, so I'll pot that later when I get home, plus I'll add my usual £2 to it.

Wrap up well everyone, stay safe & keep saving

It looks really bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr out there this morning - so make sure you wrap up and try to keep warm. Frost is that thick it looks like a covering of snow

Well I'm off to the gym shortly so it wont be too long before I have a nice warm glow :rotfl:

    Take care everyone.

    Hi Everyone

Finally reached the end of the thread.

Glad you are feeling better Sparky

I was on a roll yesterday. 8p roadkill found in three different places. It would've been more. I picked up 2p at a bar and there were more coins but they were in front of other people so I couldn't get those. Oh well. DH came back home a day early and gave me loads of change so that will go in the pot today.

I have never found note roadkill. :( One day.............

Excellent...it's freezing inside the house and freezing outside too :rotfl:....It's a Catch 22 situation. Shall we stay in, or go out? ......We're going out to the car boot, I've decided, I'm sure the kids will love me for it :D:p:D.

A very shiny looking 50p for me today :D, woo hoo :T. I'm keeping my eyes peeled today, maybe there will be some serious roadkill out there, just waiting for me to sweep it up - with my welcoming, over eager hands :p.

Have a happy day potting everyone .

£1.83 today for me. starting to think might not get much as pay by debit card for most things, will have some change though as uni canteen only takes cash.

I dont know how to do the info thingy at the bottom of the page???? HELP!!!!

    Hiya lisalollipop,

    to do a sig :

    - go to the 'User CP' button in the green bar above this thread & click
    - scroll down the left hand side until you find the 'edit signature' button & click
    - type in whatever you want & then submit/save

You usually get about 5 lines & can arrange them how you like

    Hope that helps :)

    .....
I received another £2 coin in my change yesterday - yet another reason why using cash rather than a CC is preferable :D

    £2 coins savings now = £62
