  • Well, yesterday I went to buy a sealed pot for the challenge but found them to be quite pricey and I refuse to pay at least £4 -£5 for an ordinary moneybox (progress already you see :) ) I rooted through the cupboards to see what I can use and found a cardboard tube with a few biscuits in. Perfect! Of course I had to eat 2 of them to get the rest into another tin but sacrifices must be made :rotfl: Started it off with 50p but I think I'll go to town on the village bus next week and save the 80p parking fee (it only pays for an hour anyway) Here we go! :j

  • Another £3 odd in today, change from DD's theatre group class fee as I had to send her with a £20 note as there's no loose cash in the house any more, for some reason........:p

just been to tesco, very upset as they wouldnt accept my co-op money off vouchers so I had to pay £9 extra   only saved about £15 :( BUT got 2 x £2 coins in my change plus 97p in shrapnel :D all in my lovely pot :D

Dont you love the way we all jump to the defence of our thread when we feel it threatened :D:D:D Its very hard to expalin to outsiders why we do this, Dh has come round, I think after last years total even mum has realised the benefits (still working on her getting a tin :rotfl:) But I think its not just the potting that keeps me here its all my friends that live in my computer :o I do giggle at peoples posts, feel sad when someones had bad news and pleased when I read about a new job after redundancy or a baby etc and no interest on my savings would make it worth leaving SPC :o

  • Decided I would only pot the gold and silver ones so it's a bit easier in December :) so I counted my change jar up yesterday and changed it at the PO for a shiney £2 coin. And when I went up to my bedroom to pot it, I spotted 50p on the floor so that went in too! Also got DTD back on an item Tescos had overcharged me £3 on, so the £3 went in too :j
