 Hi Potters, wow 100 + pages already! am sorry I am late joining the party where does the time go???
So after last years first sealed pot challenge I am back to do it again! Was so thrilled to have saved,, a first for us! It certainly became a lifesaver after not being able to work for a while after sinus surgery. I am v grateful to this thread and all who post.
So same old shortbread tin this year and already started off with some of last yrs savings (I simply got very protective over my tin and couldnt bear to empty it all out!) Also got tax rebate from 2008 so that helped too, also have paid my overdraft off!!:T this is a huge thing for me!! Had an overdraft since I was a teenager!!now in my ahem 40's
I have 2 tins one for £2 and £1 coins and one for 1ps 2ps and 5ps, saved £40 in small change over the year and £300 in other tin!
so looking forward to saving again, good luck all:DLife happens when you are busy making other plans

Now I'm officially potty...
Using my Mrs Man Utd piggy bank (hoofs crossed for Sunday)!
And I've made a start - £4.29 in copper already sat there waiting for me and £20 Christmas money I've not spent yet!
Trying to draw up a list as I am doing £2012 challenge as well. What money to put in which pot. Have come to conclusion that the Sealed Pot Challenge end result will go towards my £2012 challenge total as it's all my money and therefore should be lumped together in my opinion!
Good luck everyone and eyes down :rotfl:
I'm doing that, it will hopefully give my 2012 savings a welcome boost at the end of the year when I save the least!ljaneyr - thanks for the luck. Reckon i'll need it. Only one drug left that i havent been on and its a particulary nasty drug that i would much rather not take at all.
I'm thinking positive thoughts at you, don't give up hope
Only 40p added to the pot today, 35p from closing an old nationwide account and 5p change from mini Tesco shop - every little helps!:rotfl:"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. Good evening potters.
Had a great night at mum and dad's. My very naughty sister-in-law was forcing me to drink cocktails and all sorts of spirits.;)
Just having a coffee to make sure I am ok tomorrow.:rotfl::rotfl:
Glad everyone is ok and nice to hear that Kirsty822001 is back and recovering after sinus surgery. Happy new yr to you and lets hope it is a healthy one. ((hugs)).
Just had a lovely sing along to TOTP 1977 on BBC4. I was a 70's child so loved it.
Hope I am ok tomorrow and can pot a little more. Love this thread so much and everyone on here.

A very warm welcome, afoxeloni, HomeMum and svenls, it's lovely to have you with us.
Enjoy yourself saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 4 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it helps so very much.
HomeMum, do be sure to hide your pot this time; hide it in the least likely place they'll look...best of luck there!
Stick with us, Nikki, you'll learn a little more each day!
If you want/need a larger pot, DorsetGirl, then why not get a cheapy from £land..or better still make one from a carton or tin!
Not quite sure whether that's a compliment or an insult!!!
You really are doing wonderfully, Hiddenidenity, keep at it.
You take care not to get a belated hangover after your belated drinks at the belated party with your parents, mumof3plusoh!
Hi again, mummytogirls! I wondered where you'd got to. You don't need to rejoin (no one does!), just carry on with your same number. Meanwhile, as soon as you've cashed up, please pop your Total on SPC 4, the link is here
Terrific news about the gym pass and free shower, Plemo!!! Any chance of moving in??!!!
RedGoose and all those who get twisted over expensive lattes, why not take a flask from home and pot the money saved????!!!!
What a pair you 2 are, jakes-mum & LC 2, the only stars you 2 warrant are the ones you see that no one else does!!!
Helloooo again WER!!!!! It's always good to see you, not to worry about your OH with the exchange, at least it'll save you counting them (though I love it as it's so exciting), why not get a bit canny and charge him a little extra...about 20p per each pound, after all it has to be worth your while!!! I do hope you had a lovely Christmas and wish you and the family, including Kas a very safe, healthy and Happy New Year!!!! Keep coming to see us, pease!
That's a LOT of saving, Oops! Very well done, you have a lovely weekend as well.
That's it, seriouslyfrugal, keep it up as you're doing really well.
You must be cleaned right out, moneybear123 ...either that or totally saved!!
Brillant work, Stressed.

HAHA I think my son and I turned the house upside down looking for roadkill. The $5.00 on daddy's night stand really helped (shhhh $5.00 what $5.00) :rotfl:potting#16900
