that is a great idea. The problem I have is that she wants some cheap pumps as "everyone wears them anyway!" I want to buy some decent leather shoes!!! They certainly broke the mold when they made her, love her to pieces though....:rotfl:Will bear that in mind for future shopping trips and thanks for the support. Will let you know how I get on :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Hi Can I be included please.

Did this a few years ago with a Terrimundi pot and got over £300.

Have got an interesting few months ahead with the missus walking out her job due to a complete ar** of a boss so i'm using that as the spur I need to get back on here and make another concerted effort to sort out our finances!

    My target will be £500

Got to go spending tomorrow:(. DD1 needs new school shoes. I would rather pluck my own eyes out than go shoe shopping with a nearly 14 yr old.

I also like the reply from Kilieminoaq. I used to give my kids a monthly allowance for clothes etc(not actually the money - just on paper) It worked really well, and taught them to shop around to get good value. (they are now in their 40's). I have a friend with an 11yr old daughter. I was speaking with the daughter before Christmas re clothes, mobile top up, etc and it transpired that her mother just gives her money on demand. I suggested an allowance but she had worked it out that she gets more by just asking - no lesson for the future to be learnt there then!!!!
  • £1 into the pot for me today:)

£4.17 from Quidco so put that amount into pot :D

And saw a penny in the street and picked it up :o and into the pot it went! ;)

    I now have 3 pots.

One for £1 and £2's is an old sealed Pringles pot with a hole cut in the plastic lid.

One for 20p and 50p's in a really pretty box that a Champneys gift set was in that someone gave me for Christmas.

And 1p, 2p and 5ps are currently going into an ancient fabric money bag........which isn't sealed but makes me feel like Fagin or Scrooge when I tip my change into it!!!

Cue rubbing hands together and evil chuckling as I put my pennies in.

    Well......it amuses me :rotfl:

Have potted around £1.50 in the piggy over the last few days but have given up counting!
