I've managed to chuck in £15.99 over the last two days. I needed two £1 coins to give out yesterday so I had to shake my pot and scoop them out with a thin piece of card :o I started to convince myself that it would give me bad luck with savings for the rest of the year (and I felt bad for cheating! Although I technically didn't break the seal ;)) so instead of replacing the coins I stuck a tenner in. :D

    Hello everyone :p...

Sticking in a pound today, as I've spent nothing, I've been an angel :A...first time I've had wings too :rotfl:...
The lovely DW doesn't know it yet, but I'm about to see if she's got any change too. I'm waiting, as she's gripped by The Worlds' Strongest Man at the moment :D :rotfl: :D.

Hope you've all had a good day potting too :T.

  • Got to go spending tomorrow:(. DD1 needs new school shoes. I would rather pluck my own eyes out than go shoe shopping with a nearly 14 yr old.

Oh well I will try to be brave and not have a row in the many, many shops that I know we will be visiting and probably won't come home with any.:eek::eek:

Just an idea (that worked for me) I used to agree how much I was prepared to spend on shoes/trousers/coat before we went to the shop and also explain that if more was needed to pay for a designer brand they would have to top up with their own Christmas/pocket money. They knew they could wheedle an extra fiver out of me in the shop but wouldnt push it any further. :A

Hope that helps... look forward to hearing how the trip went!:rotfl:

Hi everyone and A Happy New Year to you all.

I've not spent any money for the past 3 days so no money to put in the pots apart from 1p found near the washing machine!

    Back to work tomorrow sadly!
Hoping to retire earlier than 67!
  • Another good potting after the new years :)

I think there is about £40 in there already :)
